The Racing Inlet
Along the north coast, the Racing Inlet pours into the Aegir Sea. While the inlet appears to have two channels feeding into it, only one of them is an active river way. The active river, as the inlet’s name suggests, relentlessly releases water from the jungles of Quai Thu into the sea. Exploring this river, as well as finding its source water, is extremely challenging. The current is so strong that it is faster to hike along its unkempt banks rather than fight the current.
Within the center of the inlet rests a fairly large island. Unofficially, the island is named Albramax Point after the party’s fallen friend, but it’s real name is still not known to Welcome Tasks. The geography of this island is fairly rugged with dune grasses, sparse trees, and exposed volcanic rock faces. The coastline of the island is a steep cliff face as the river washes away most sediment that tries to form a beach. The northernmost portion of the island is the exception with a smother topographical gradient and a sandy beach head.
Fauna & Flora
The rush of nutrient rich water from the jungle makes the inlet an ideal fishing ground. Large schools of fish congregate to gorge themselves which in turn attracts creatures higher on the food chain including drakes and large aquatic reptiles.
