The Collective of Craftsmen
The Collective of Craftsmen is a craftsmen guild. It's quite old, and the large faction has an excellent reputation. The guild hall is located within the Woodcutters District on the western side of Desmarais. They are currently headed by Keyleth Caerdonel, who sits as the leader of a council of 8 craftsmen of different practices.
Structure
It's ruled by a committee of 8, who were able to rise to power by proving themselves to be true masters of their crafts. They are rowdy and hold strong beliefs about their individual practices, and their positions on the committee are mostly stable due to internal power struggles. Their meetings are held every third day, and are are open to anyone. Bribes to the committee will be bargained about.
Culture
Members of The Collective of Craftsmen are identifiable by the ring that members are given. Membership requires a display of skill, and costs twenty gold pieces. The initiation into The Collective of Craftsmen involves an oath to be taken.
Public Agenda
The Collective of Craftsmen have many allies; A veritable army of artisans will answer a call for aid, as will a veritable army of merchants, a veritable army of seers, a veritable army of scholars, and a veritable army of bandits.
Assets
They have limitless resources. The woodlands to the west of Desmarais are part of those resources. Also at their disposal are a significant number of magical crafting tools, most of the work contracts in Desmarais, a significant number of trade goods, and a fair few favors.
