The Disciples of Carnash
The Disciples of Carnash trace their cultural roots from The Carnishan Ascetics and all the way back to the pseudo-legendary figure of Lord Carnishan, who they see as the last mandate of heaven from a bygone era. With his unjust killing at the hands of their ancestors, the heavens cursed the world for their Technolatry and hubris.
Some of the orders of Carnash live deep in the wilds, far from other survivors, but the most well known are militant nomads, roaming the lands of Pyre and eradicating technology by force. The more functional preCataclysm machinery that a village has, the more they live in fear of being targeted by a crusade of Disciples. For their part, the zealots, monks, and priests of the Carnishan ways see themselves as heros and liberators, traveling from town to town and freeing the common people from the shackles of Technolatry to live in true harmony with the earth and heaven.
The Disciples of Carnash adhere to the old ways, living as their ancestors once did. Their caravans host beasts of burden to carry their tents and goods. Their armor and weapons are hand worked from metal, leather, and bone. They live off the land; hunting for meat, foraging for fruits of the earth, and trading for their other needs. The ties of the community run deep and wide and every child born to the Disciples is raised to believe their Way is the true salvation for all peoples. Only through faith and asceticism can heaven's favor be returned to the people and all will rejoice in bounty once more.
