Med-Stims
Since their creation, the items commonly known as Medical Stims (commonly shortened to "Med-Stims") have been upheld as one of the most highly valued medical advancements in Inhabited Space. Manufactured by Panacea Pharmaceuticals, Med-Stims were designed to provide quick medical attention in the field, from closing up wounds, to purging toxins from the body. While no substitute for proper treatment in a medical facility, the use of these Med-Stims have often been the difference between life and death, ensuring that they'd remain a mainstay in the gear of soldiers, law enforcers, and explorers well into the modern day.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Med-Stims contains a medicinal liquid and medical grade nanomachines, both of which are injected into the user by the stim. While the medicinal liquid works to eliminate toxins in the body and to stimulate the bodies natural healing abilities and immune system (including clotting), the nanomachines (which activate upon injection, and last for approximately 30 seconds) work to close up whatever wounds they can reach in their short lifespan, as well as assist in targeting any toxins they come across.
Significance
While not able to completely heal their users, their ability to close up wounds and purge toxins from the body have made Med-Stims a valuable piece of equipment, as their effects can effectively heal minor injuries, or stave off worse injuries long enough for the individual to be given more extensive treatment.

Rarity
Med-Stims are commonplace, though their distribution is commonly restricted to doctors and medics in the civilian and military sectors, and any Wayfinders who could afford to requisition them.
Raw materials & Components
Med-Stims consist of an injector containing a medical liquid capable of dealing with most low-level infections and medical nanomachines programmed to target toxins in the bloodstream and close up any wounds in the body (cuts, scrapes, and punctures.
Tools
The injector requires precision equipment tailored to crafting medical equipment, the medicine requires medical equipment capable of mixing the required substances, and the nanomachines require highly specialised, extremely precise nano-fabrication equipment to construct.
