Dagger

The Dagger is a fighter strike craft developed by the Nyxian Systems, capable of operating in both atmosphere and the vacuum of space. Drawing its name from its streamlined, blade-like shape, the Dagger is a fast and agile fighter capable of cutting through enemy craft and defences alike with near surgical precision. With its balance of agility and firepower, as well as it's ability to serve in both open combat and stealth missions in a variety of mission, the Dagger has become an integral part of the Nyxian military.

Power Generation

Like all other craft of its type, Daggers are powered by a small impulse drive, which supplies energy for the engines and many on-board systems.

Propulsion

The Dagger uses a twin engine propulsion system.

Weapons & Armament

All Daggers are armed with two forward-facing auto cannons, and medium-ranged air-to-air missiles.

Armor and defense

All Daggers are built with Nightsteel armour plating, which is slightly lighter and only slightly weaker than typical Durasteel, and come equipped with a small number of Flares, relying more on speed and agility to shake off hostiles. They are also equipped with a small shield generator.

Communication Tools & Systems

All Daggers are equipped with long-range, two-way communication systems for communicating with nearby ships or installations within a 3,000 km range. They are also equipped with a Distress Signal Emitter (DSE) that will automatically activate and broadcast on all nearby friendly channels in the event of a crash.

Sensors

All Daggers are equipped with a radar system with a scanning range of 530 km.

Additional & auxiliary systems

In the event of a crash where the craft can't be recovered, Daggers are equipped with a self-destruct mechanism to prevent the craft from falling into enemy hands.
