Augmentation is one of the most common technologies found throughout the galaxy. Covering everything from prosthetic limbs, to sub-dermal implants, to artificial organs, these augmentations (or AUGs) are used by just about anyone who can afford them, whether their use is medical, military, or even recreational. While there are those who have some worries about the extensiveness of this technologies spread, no one can deny just how much the quality of life of its users have improved since its inception.

Utility

AUGs can be found in just about every aspect of life, from prosthetics for amputees, to body armour for the military, to brain implants for high-level experts, to cosmetic AUGs for the rich and famous.

Access & Availability

Access depends on the kind of AUGs the client is looking for. For instance, an artificial limb is available for all, sub-dermal body armour is only available for the military, and an artificial organ or brain implant can only be installed with a proper permit and the express permission of your surgeon, barring any medical emergencies. Regardless, all AUGs tend to be quite expensive.

The complexity of each AUG varies greatly based on its purpose, from simple limb replacements, to the most complex brain implant.
