Overview
The Aldarian Defense Force (ADF) oversees the defense of Alderia and its neighboring systems. As part of the protection, near by systems dedicate shipyards and resources to maintaining the navy. As a result, squadrons appear more like ragtag groups of random fighters than a unified fleet. This diversity does have its advantages since enemies don't really know what to expect.
Since the Defense Force focuses on planetary aid and protection, it does not invest in large cruisers as they are costly and typically are not suited for the hit and run agile attack patterns favored by the fleet.
Vehicles
As a result of the varied cultures and technologies, the Defense Force has the most active classes of fighters, transports, and corvettes compared to any other fleet in the
Vuleran Oversector.
Defense fleet starships typically are prefixed with Aldarian Defense Vessel (A.D.V.). Some planets may alter the prefix for ships dedicated solely to that planet.
