History & Usage
History
With the stories of the meadow's history and a culture of embellishment and mixing legend, faith and history, it is often hard to guess where such begins and ends. It goes back to ancient days to when there was a kingdom that ruled over the lands of Slyviaflora. There is an assumption among other nations that this was the powers of Casca maritime kingdom, which did fall apart in its later years due to the rebellion of numerous peoples that made up its distant provinces. It is said that one day they would come a despotic king Tyran who while mortal made dark deals with daemons and malicious fae for powers and armies without end. When the people of Slyviaflora rebelled they were broken against the king's forces, while many song, mythic heroes, and traditions come to the people from this time. It is said to a lowly smith, the Aventine spirit of Clement appeared and taught him how to work metal as no mortal could. With it they could be free so long as they never shared how to make it.
Everyday use

Cultural Significance and Usage
To much of the world, it is seen as a collectible metal without equal whose primary value is in weaponry and armor. It is very much loved by collectors though purely from the rarity and quality of the metal. It often though it rarely collected for its appearance as while the metal can appear lovely, it is rarely ornamental.
To the people of the Republic it is however seen as a tool gifted by the Aventine they have used to assure their peace and security. To the smiths of their land though, who are the servants of Clement, it is a sacred metal whose art to create can never be taught to any but their kind. In all cases however the art of metalworking is seen as mystical around the world, making Sylvian Steel in the meadows though is seen as requiring a divine spark.
Manufacturing & Products
iron, coal, iron blooms, steel blooms, an unknown set of materials introduced by meadow smiths, a bloomery forge with tuyere and bellows, and smith tools
Distribution
Trade & Market
While they are known for harboring that secret for producing the metal, the Meadowians hold no specific ancient laws against trading the material to other nations, though they will only sell it in forms other than weapons.
Law & Regulation
Given that the metal is only produced by whorshipers of Clement it is by sacred laws passed down by the Aventine spirit that they can not share its secrets. The possibility that the metal would be used as a weapon against them has had the senate of Lilium to outlaw the sale of it in weaponized forms, although it makes it highly valued by smugglers.
