The peoples of the Cassian sea, the former inhabitants of the fallen kingdom of Casca. A kingdom which in its time caused the banding together of numerous forgotten peoples and ethnic tribes, bringing them together as semi-singular people. Casca fell long ago though and the people around the Cassian Sea through having drifted apart ever since, the shards of its kingdom forming new nations and eventually ethnic groups, including the Cassi, Meadowian, Trevantia, and more.

Culture and cultural heritage
Granted that their Kingdom was primarily a maritime power, its dependents on calm waters and the seas would color their culture with reverence for the waters and storms. This would eventually evolve into a reverence of nature spirits.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
It was customary to waters taken from the sea over the child at birth, in hopes that it would cry without being spanked as it was seen as good luck. The child would then be cleaned with fresh water.
An amulet worn like a locket was given to true born Casiani children 7 days after birth. For in those seven days a father was expected to find or create such an amulet It was often coastal shells, though could often be stone or metal, that were used and inscribed upon them were prayers to local spirits. The child was expected to wear it until they came of age as it was meant to protect the child from bad spirits until they were adults. It was often called a kochýli.
Coming of Age Rites
When a young man reached the age of adulthood he was allowed to remove his kochýli, it would then be returned to his father. If returned once again to the child it means the father granted his son his blessing. The two would then place the kochýli among the others of their family, not to be touched again until a time of honor or death. With a girl, it was very much the same though a girl was considered women upon the day of her marriage and she would give her amulet to her mother.
