Terpenie City

Terpenie City is not the largest nor the oldest settlement on Sharov's World, still it has become the cultural center of the planet. This goes back to the circumstances of its funding: When the colony ship Terpenie reached the planet, an accident killed dozens of crewmembers, and only the heroic sacrifice of Aviam Sharov prevented a greater catastrophy. It was this event that led to the disparate settlements of the planet coming together under the roof of the Sharov's World Confederation, with Terpenie City as the capital. Today, a large statue of Sharov serves as a symbol of unity to all the people of Alpha Centauri and as a reminder of the sacrifices it took for humanity to find a home among the stars.
