The voting scandal in the New Oceania Continental Council has led to first consequences for the people involved. Representative Vilnis Kronberg's mandate was revoked by the Dusha City Metropolitan Council. Other affected councils are still debating such steps. The scandal began two weeks ago with the vote on the construction of a maglev line connecting the larger cities of the continent. Protests arose in several cities, as citizens felt that their representatives did not adhere to the position of the respective Metropolitan Councils.

A new edible species of xenophyte has become available for farming. The aquatic species was first discovered in a series of freshwater ponds in the plains south of the town of Anreem. After extensive testing by the Toliman Xenobiological Institute they were declared safe for consumption. Hydroponic farms have been set up and a first harvest is expected in about two months. The taste is reported to be mild, with notes of cabbage.

In the trial of Elias Kehl, a verdict has been reached. The former champion of the Sol Fighting Championship was found guilty of battery in three cases. The verdict was declared in absence of the defendant, who had vanished shortly after the beginning of the trial in 2191. Kehl is wanted in many jurisdictions, including Earth and all major Lunar and Martian habitats.
