Poliokramiros

Qualifications

A candidate for this position must have passed the training and education requirements to be enlisted into the Poliruptors and then serve in this capacity until he or she is experienced and respected enough to lead.

Requirements

In order to become a Poliokramos one must be a Lochosian citizen and pass the education necessary to enter the formation.Beyond this proficiency is the only requirement to be a viable candidate to be chosen by the higher ranking officers.

Appointment

This rank is conferred on a Poliruptor by a council of the resident Poliokramiros and the commanding Stratosmithos whenever a position opens up due to a Poliokramios is killed, promoted or demoted.

Duties

To bring siege engines to bear on all that their superiors decide requires to be brought low.To maintain the siege engines requisitioned for an operation and direct the Poliruptors of his detachment.

Responsibilities

They command and plan the operations of the Poliruptors in concert with the Stratosmithos, calculate ballistics and direct siege weapon deployment.Due to their importance and expertise they are typically afforded a place in the Stratosmithos "council" of officers along with the Lieutenants and other heads of attached specialist units.

Accoutrements & Equipment

They are equipped with Varystratos' equipment with a plethora of additional markings to indicate the guilds he belongs to and his position as a Poliokramiros.Due to their duties a portable draughting table.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Poliokramiros can be dismissed by the commanding Stratosmithos temporarily in extraordinary occasions and permanently by the Poliruptors guild after a trial.
