History

The history of the Dominionate is shrouded in mystery. Lost to time, the origins are full of tales and legends that stretch back to at least the Dawn of the Symbring and most likely much earlier. The Elves of the Sky Tower claim they have records stored deep in the Vaults of Horrid that show they go back into deep time. Perhaps to the very dawn of the world.   The first record of a "Dread Walker" as they are known colloquially, was after the Battle of the Wyrms Reign. The Dominionate Musea'cyd, The Dream Eater, Waded through the killing field, penetrated the considerable security of the victory camp and stole away The First King of the Sebring Valkadrey on the day of his coronation. This event destabilized the new government issuing the Wyrms Reign and the Symbring Dark Age Known as the Bleeding.

Mythology & Lore

There are no mythologies within the Dominionate. There is no anything within the Divine Order other than slavish devotion to the Mad God's will. They don't sleep, they don't eat, they have no need for the necessities of the living. They can think and are very aware of what their bodies are doing but they have no will of their own.   There are Cults that have arisen around the individual avatars but they themselves do not respond to the prayers and lamentations of the adherents. Divine power does reach the priests and Priestesses of the various cults who wage political and spiritual warfare against those they deem heretical but their actions are not controlled by the will of Aascar'ri and will as often as not result in the destruction of the cult by the dominionate as it does the fulfillment of The Mad God's will.
