The Grand Order

The Grand Order is an order of holy warriors, devoted to the smiting of evil and the protection of good. Led by a council of paladins, clerics, and monks, they are a powerful and united force, ready to take on the darkness wherever it lurks. In many regions, members of the grand order hold the title of Justicar. Vowing to keep the peace, and settle disputes.
Core Beliefs:

• The Grand Order believes in the fundamental goodness of all people, and that evil must be met in the field and brought to the sword, or it will swiftly overcome all. They are devoted to the protection of the innocent, and to the defeat of evil.
• All creatures deserve the chance to live their own lives and choose their own paths, free from oppression and fear.
• Every individual has the divine right to justice and the protection of their fundamental rights.

Goals:

• The Grand Order's primary goals are to protect the innocent, smite evil and bring justice to all. They are vigilant in their quest to make the world a better place.
• To uphold the law and champion justice in all its forms.
• To bring knowledge and understanding to the world, in order to prevent ignorance and suffering in the future.

Examples of Quests: • Defend a village from bandits • Investigate a dark cult that is sacrificing innocent people • Rescue a kidnapped child from the clutches of a powerful necromancer • Defeat a powerful dragon that is terrorizing the countryside

Beliefs:

1. Faith is the greatest weapon—faith in one’s god, one’s friends, and one’s self.
2. Battling evil is an extraordinary task that requires extraordinary strength and bravery.
3. If someone asks for help, help them if you are able
4. Dispense wisdom to others who have not walked the Long Path

Public Agenda

To be armed, vigilant, and ready to smite evil, enforce justice, and enact retribution. This means identifying evil threats such as secretive power groups and inherently evil creatures, watching over them, and being ready to attack the moment they are identified. (These are always retributive strikes, never preemptive.)
