Central Park Farmer's Market

Central Park Farmer's Market

On the first Saturday of each month, the Central Park Farmer's Market opens to the public and features fresh produce grown primarily in Otherworld although local farmers from New York and New Jersey also will set up booths. In addition, many artists, artisans and artificers bring their works from Otherworld to sell at one of the most successful markets in the world.   The market has garnered a reputation of having the best variety and quality of fruits and vegetables, and even rare or brand-new types of produce that can't be found anywhere else all grown organically in the fertile soil of Otherworld. Chefs from many top New York restaurants visit the markets to find superior ingredients to include in their dishes. At times, even fresh meats, poultry and fish can be found and even cut to order. Fine wines, and distilled or brewed beverages are also available for purchase and many restaurants and bars are quick to pick them up to sell within their establishments. The individual shoppers need not worry about finding bare booths ravaged by restauranteurs, sellers restrict the amount that can be purchased by business buyers so that individual shoppers will still be able to buy their wondrous treasures.   In addition to their wares, many sellers also bring animals with them to create a makeshift petting zoo the likes of which cannot be found any place else. People are able to see horses, goats, llamas and other familiar creatures but it would not be unusual to find unicorns, owlbears and even giant rhinoceros beetles.   A carnival midway is sometimes set up along with a car show for proud car owners to show off their artistic automobiles. Local artists and artisans can also be found here and even antiques dealers are known to set up tents for sales and valuations.   In short, if you are looking for something unique or interesting to do, you will find something that will pique your interest at the Central Park Farmers Market.
