Wounds
Wound Levels
Each character can endure a number of wound levels equal to their Vigor die, divided by two, before becoming Incapacitated.Fatigue
You have as many Fatigue levels as Wound Levels. Read the Fatigue article for more information on the subject.Pain Penalties
Combat in the Afterfall is not some kind of epic dance with swords, it is a gritty, messy and desperate fight for survival.Even if you win, it tends to fuck you up.
Each wound level you get, comes with a pain penalty modifier to each and every roll you make.
The Beaten level never has a penalty, its modifier is always 0, and the last wound level you can endure before falling Incapacitated has a -4 modifier. For each wound level below that last one, the modifier increases by 1, as seen in the table below.
Injuries
At certain wound levels you get an Injury.- You always get a new Injury when you get to the 3: Injured wound level, and the 5: Crippled wound level.
- You always get a new Injury when you get Incapacitated.
Inc.: Incapacitated
Inj.: New Injury
