Underhunters
The result of bats living in isolated underground environments where they were the dominant species, with no competitors nor predators.
They grow until reaching the size of a great dane, but display rather light bodies for their sizes. Their mouthes are filled with sharp fangs, their razor sharp claws allow them to climb vertical cave walls, their frontal limbs are longer that the rear legs, and display small vestigial wings, that help them swim faster.
They are completely blind, in fact, they do not have eyes at all, giving them an alien and terryfing outlook. They compensate their blindness with extremely acute senses of smell, hearing and a very well developed echolocation that works both in the air and underwater.
They are good swimmers, and are capable of diving to hunt for fish.
They are carnivores, and they mostly eat fish and/or rats. They usually live together, but they rarely collaborate when hunting. In fact, they are infamous cannibals, they usually fight each other over turf, mating and food, and they will not hesitate to viciously attack and eat weaker underhunters when conflict arises.
They are usually found in deep isolated cave systems, and also in underground Ancient ruins.
Hence they are deeply feared by most Scavengers, since they are one of the deadliest threats underground.
