Scorpion Kings

Scorpion kings are one of the worst encounters you can have in the desert.
The name doesn't refer to some sort of leader among scorpions, but rather to a species of giant scorpions with the body of the size of a pitbull, arms as long as human arm, and the tail rising up to about 2 meters.
Their pointy and serrated claws have an incredibly strong grasp, and they are also able to pierce and slash. Each of them is big enough to grasp a human limb, and the two claws simultaneously can grab a human by the torso.
But that is not the worst part. The tail is. Its sting is as sharp and long as a shortsword.
Thankfully, the venom the sting injects is only a Mild Poison (see Poison). The scorpion king relies on size and strength to overpower its victims, and on the injuries its sting and claws can inflict.
They are covered in thick chitin armor.
