Right tool for the task

You know how to properly use different gear, depending on the type of enemy you're fighting.

• Your shield doubles its effect on your parry against ranged attacks, but this doesn't count against Surprise Attacks, Sneak Attacks or Assassin's Strikes.
• When you are wielding a spear against a mounted foe, you gain:
  • a +5 modifier to your initiative rolls.
  • a +2 modifier to your attack rolls.
  • If you manage to inflict a 1 wound level to the mount, the rider falls.
  • You cannot be run over by a mount when a Rider uses Charger against an ally, you always dodge and return to formation.
