Horror
Horror is one of the most potent emotions a living creature can feel. It is raw instinct of self-preservation.
Horror can be caused by:
To resist Fear, a character must Roll Will & Control, difficulty depends on the cause of fear:2 - 8: Flee: You run away from the source of horror, until reaching somewhere safe, or exhausted. You are also Shaken.
9: Incontinence: That's right, people in extreme fear can pee and shit their pants. You are Distracted while the source of horror is nearby. After that, you are able to get your shit together (pun intended).
10: Paralysis: You freeze in place and cannot do anything for 1 round. You are Vulnerable, and cannot move.
11: Panic: You fall to the ground, sweating, trembling and cannot breathe. You are prone and Stunned, for 2 rounds.
12 - Heart Attack: Yup, you can literally die of fear. Roll Vigor, on a success you faint for 5 min., on a fail you faint and suffer 3 internal wounds, on a critical failure you die.
- An Event, such as a gruesome finding.
- A Creature or Person, trying to brutally intimidate the character.
To resist Fear, a character must Roll Will & Control, difficulty depends on the cause of fear:
- Event: against base difficulty plus or minus modifiers, determined by the GM, depending on how terrible is the event.
- Creature or Person: Contested roll depending on how the Creature or Person is causing fear.
