Brute

FEARSOME WARRIORS WHO USE SHEER FORCE AND TOUGHNESS TO TERRORIZE AND CRUSH THEIR ENEMIES.

Brutes are the ultimate shock troops, solid and heavy blocks of muscle and scar tissue, with nerves of steel. However, most of them are not smart enough to count how many poor bastards they've sent into oblivion. They are skull-crackers, bloodletters, soul reavers and vulture feeders, with arms like tree trunks. When the warriors are mustered, they are always at the forefront, in the first line, ready to mercylessly crush their enemies.
Brutes prefer nasty heavy weapons, that allow them to inflict devastating blows, demoralizing the rest of their adversaries. Some of them prefer heavy armor and shields, to become human fortresses, while others go into battle nearly naked, confident in their own fighting skill and resilience.
Brutes are not necessarily murdering bullies and sociopaths. A lot of them are, but many others fight for what they think are "good" causes, such as defending the weak, their religion, tradition, progress, or their tribe.
However, most of them will tell you that varying degrees of ruthlessness are necessary to get shit done in the Afterfall.

  • Elite: You're no dumbfuck. Your brain still works, and your battle prowess has made others fear and respect you.

  • Body: Powerful, Giant, Muscled, Shredded, Ripped, Scarred, Tattoed, Fortress-like.
Drives:
What drives your character forwards. Choose one primary and one secondary drive.

Edges:
On character creation, choose two: Relationships:
You must state relationships with other characters.
  • One of them helped you crush one of your enemies.
  • One of them saved you when others left you for dead.
  • You defended one of them against her enemies, tell the reason.
  • One of them owes you, you both tell how.
  • One of them helped you understand something you couldn't.
Starting Gear:
  • 180 barter.
  • 1 Boiled Leather Jacket and Cap (medium), or no armor.
  • 1 Greatsword or Maul (scrap). If you chose no armor, then its made out of forged iron (+1 dmg).
  • 1 dagger.
  • 1 rope.
  • 3 days worth of dry rations.
  • 1 waterskin.
  • 1 backpack.
  • 1 sleeping bag.
  • 1 torch.
  • 1 Flint and tinder.
