Dwarves Species in Prijeba | World Anvil

Dwarves

The Dwarves of Prijeba were dealt the harshest blow to their numbers during the Wasting. Being mountain dwellers, they were among the first to feel the touch of Oilleg's rampage. Those who survived are mourned and hated - all know it would be better to have died.

Hammerflow

Racials:
+2 to Str or Con ; +1 to Con or Str
Skill Bonuses: +1 Athletics, +1 Insight
The Hammerflow Dwarves are the Dwarves (and their descendants), who had settled near the Church of Nevea after its construction. Renowned for the skill in building and stone, they are the most numerous of Dwarven refugees. With darker hair and tanned skin, they can often be found toiling in the way of their ancestors - or defending that which they have claimed as their own.   The Hammerflow are the Kin most likely to get into debates with the Noble Elves, and some often wonder if someday they will go too far in speaking their frustrations. A true Hammerflow, however, says that the Elves can accept the truth of the Dwarves' feelings or 'get bent'. After all, none know the land as well as a Dwarf.   The Elves often greet this behavior with a patience they show few other races. Whether that is because the Dwarves are right, or whether the Elves think it is useless to argue, few can say.

Enscripter

Racials:
+2 to Str or Wis; +1 to Wis or Con
Skill Bonuses: +1 Religion, +1 History
Enscripters are the least populated - and for good reason. Many of the fiery haired dwarves were in the mountain settlements - and their numbers there were slain as Oilleg went on his Rampage. Others gave their lives buying time for the Kin to flee East. Of the Enscripters that remain - most were children when they arrived as refugees, carried by other Kin and adopted by both Kin and Elves.   For this reason, the Enscripters are greeted with a respect by even the Noble Elves that would strike all others as odd. Many of the Enscripters are uncomfortable with this reverence - aware that it is granted in honor of the sacrifices of their parents but also desperate to earn that reverence through their own deeds.   Fortunately for them - Enscripters are blessed by Nevea herself. Where others struggle to channel her Divinity, Enscripters are almost living Channels in their own right. Some choose to become priests, and others holy warriors - but all of them carry her Grace.

Corrupted

The Corrupted are those that did not die to the Wasting. Some have made theories as to why - that they were already evil in their souls and hearts and thus the Wasting merely made their outsides reflect the darkness of their insides... and some think that the Corrupted are cursed creatures who were too strong in body and not strong enough in mind.   Regardless of the why, the Corrupted are feared by all Kin. They are the living reminder that there are things worse than Death. The Corrupted not only are a violent and barbaric people, they gleefully serve Oilleg and Nephraedis. They delight in the pain that their very presence brings to those who are touched by the Divine.   Where the Corrupted walk, darkness follows.
