Roland II
King Roland Lancaster-Ungoloth, Son of Aubrey III
INTRODUCTION
Roland Lancaster-Ungoloth was the twenty-fourth ruler of Archia. He ruled for 77 years (2323-2400) following his distant cousin Lambert's untimely death in 2323. His reign was frought with coruption and tyranny, none on his part. Despite being unpopular because of his Ithrinese descent, historians note Roland being a great and just King, a rarity in the Ungoloth line. He took after the tenents of his anscestor Lambert III, ruling fairly and uprightly. He rooted out the corruption which surrounded him, trying his best to win the favor of a rebellious people. He married a pure-blooded Archian, the anscestor of Aubrey Sarcho, and had four children, the oldest of which succeeded him. Despite all this, Roland constantly fought with an uprising led by his second cousin Lambert; but upon his death in 2400, he managed to convince the nobles and leaders of Archia to swear an oath to crown his son instead of Lambert. The oath was not undone, so his son Roland became Roland II shortly following his death.
