High Inquisitor Marcellus Erikk Ascelot (a.k.a. Deathmane)
INTRODUCTION
Marcellus Ascelot was the High Inquisitor of The Order of Allourous, second in command to Jubiniah, the head of the Mercifulic Order during the dawn of the age of freedom. Marcellus was one of the few arvenon within the ranks of Allourous, but had the trust and ear of Jubiniah the Wanderer. His connection to the Caeveit and The Merciful made him a feared challenger to any tyrannical empire. Marcellus made many inquisitions during his time as High Inquistor, but ultimately died during a failed attempt to end hersey in the Dark East.
EARLY LIFE
Marcellus was born to two very poor arvenon merchants in the rising outcasts of East Tsonlar. The rise of the Tsondalian Free Empire had unmistakenly put the drows at odds with the arvenon, and fueled a tension which ironically held together the enormous empire. This tension led many, including Marcellus' father Erikk, to flee the turbulent jade expanse in search of new homelands. Erikk and his wife found their way to Caevit in 3518, just before Marcellus was born. It is possible, had his parents not fled the eastern tsondalian region, Marcellus could have been caught up in Reangar Allymar's genoicde two centuries later. The young arvenon lad was rigorously taught fighting and combat skills in the best academy's in the north. His parents amassed enormous debt in doing so.
THE ORDER OF ALOUROUS
In 3714, Marcellus lost both of his parents to mysterious illness. Soon after, news reached the north of the fall of Ithrium and the outbreak of madness in the southeast. Marcellus was torn between his debt to Caevit and his birthright in eastern tsonlar.
