Hex Brightcreek

INTRODUCTION 

Hex Brightcreek, a wanderer of the Blue Hills and the Forsaken Forest, is a young gardener with a passion for dishing out fatal justice. Commonly called 'The Rose Herald' by those he's liberated, Hex is actually a rather stable man, the most stable of the League of Five. He acts as a scout and first defense for the league, referred to as some as 'The Cult of Lucifus'. Many know his name, including the council of merciful, but no one has placed a bounty on his head because he offends no one except those he kills. 

A PLURALITY AT BIRTH 

Hex was born in the Dark Moon Season of 4703 4p, in the Kingdom of Archia. He had a twin at birth, who died instantly from lack of nutrients. Although Hex commonly laments not having a brother, he believes that he would be weaker if he had shared sustenance with his brother before birth. His parents each lay a rose on his casket before they buried him, and did not allow Hex to put a third, somehow thinking him to blame for the death of their other son. 

CALL TO ACTION 

In 4723 4p, Hex was commissioned by the Archian Infantry Academy in Salemere. He bid adieu to his father and mother, and packing only his grandfather's old longsword, he left to join the military. After four years, he graduated a Lieutenant Captain of the Third Infantry Battalion of the Southern Front. He was posted in the war torn town of Ingerford to help finish the capture of the Tsondalian town, ending the war with the nation. During the mission, Hex's unit was ambushed violently by Alchemist mercenaries and was left with burns all over his arms and legs. 

HEX JOINS THE LEAGUE OF FIVE

After he and what was left of his unit returned to Salemere, the welcome was far from warm. He was discharged and held on trial to see if he committed treason in the assault. The night before the trial, one of his most trusted men told him the trial was rigged to have him take the fall for the botched attack. Hex fled to Dusswik, and found himself in the midst of a strange town. This is where he found two witches- Rayven and Orbit- who took a liking to the lost warrior. They banded together and created what is now known as the League of Five, the greatest of the Cult of Lucifus. Hex forged himself a new path, dishing out justice to anyone who had committed violent crimes against innocent. He was most famous for placing a rose on the body of each of his victims, and then placing another in a little quiver at his side. To date, Hex has thirty-eight roses in his quiver. 

ARCHIAN ROOTS 

Although Hex is Archian by birth, he has completely rejected the entire monarchy and way of life, commonly killing higher up military figures of Archia for war crimes in their numerous battles. Although he is the only one of the League who does not use any dark magic, Hex is thought to have some magical aura about him, a sense of attraction and friendliness which pulls in his enemies to their fatal end.
