They were Exim found by the US Government, trained to be anti-communist federal special agents. Every “communist” or “pinko” threat they fought against were either “Specimen” from beyond the Iron Curtain or in two cases rogue American agents using early HyperTech prototypes. Though they did have quite a "rogues gallery" of antagonists including the famed Professor Ursine; the russian circus bear turned mutant scientist and the Soviet Supreme; the augmented super-human Josef Stalin look-alike. Their cases were so outlandish that they were put into print and adapted with certain creative “liberties” as propaganda heavy cartoons for children’s entertainment and indoctrination. In the propaganda works every case ended the same; the villainous communist subversive was revealed to be using some special gear, some dangerous volatile piece of communist hypertech and the powers on display were nothing more than byproducts of the gear. The truth of their services have been removed from public records through out the world with assistance from The Cookie Jar and redacted to protect them and the government they served from unwelcome scrutiny. They are remembered fondly by many, seen as "heroes that were gone too soon."
