Aurors are magical law enforcement officers who work for the Ministry of Magic. The training for Aurors is known to be very rigorous, and many who fail to complete their training take jobs elsewhere in the Ministry of Magic. The current head of the Department of Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic is Madam Amelia Bones.
