Elbella grew up in a very large, tightknit Firbolg tribe that travelled in the wilds, far from civilization and technology. Her life was comfortably lazy and unremarkable for the first 420 years. She settled down and raised a family, then in her later years learned to heal and pledged her services to the Goddess Mielikki. Life was perfectly peaceful, that is, until the wildfire started.
One night Elbella woke up to the smell of smoke. Flames engulfed her tent spreading their boiling rage through everything in their way. She ran out and saw the rest of her settlement ablaze in the wildfire. She struggled through the smoke but could find no one. Elbella ran away from the violently whipping flames, ashes burning her eyes, screaming for the rest of her tribe as strange lights flashed behind her.
Once the fire burned out and the smoked cleared, not a single member of her tribe could be found. Not even a body. Where had the fire come from? They were always careful. Maybe magic? Elbella could not convince herself that her clan was dead, the circumstances were too strange. So, she set out to find them, pushed forward by determination, and strange dreams that called her to Waterdeep and the name Praetor…
