Mid-Winter Solstice Festival Tradition / Ritual in Poneren | World Anvil

Mid-Winter Solstice Festival

The Mid-Winter Solstice Festival was an annual tradition held the night of the 15th of Mid-Winter, the shortest night of the year. It began shortly after the Starship Guines landed, as an encouragement to help people through the dark, difficult winter months and continued in one form or another for centuries.

History

The festival's roots began during the first winters on Poneren and extended for hundreds of years.
