Ether

Ether is best described as an aqueous form of space-time that fills the space between separate realities. Since The Source 's energy spike and resulting dimensional rupture, Ether has spilled into the void between the four continents brought together by The Convergence. As a substance, it has the same general behavior and characteristics as water (i.e., it is possible to sail across it), but if living tissue is exposed to it for any length of time, that tissue will rapidly age, die, and decay.
