Wild Ones

Wild Ones are a group of people that make the wilderness their home. The history of these people is scarcely known amongst the common populace and said to be passed down to only a select few within their ranks, such as the Elders and some trusted few. They are adept at surviving out in the wild, and can easily be identified by the masks they wear.        They're a welcome sight to most Hunters and Adventurers.

Culture

Common Dress code

They're most commonly known for wearing mostly leathers and furs that they obtained themselves from hunting Ferals. They will also trade for cloths and fabrics to fashion themselves some clothing as well.    Their mask is always present; either on their face or situated somewhere on their person.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

All Wild Ones have a mask on their person. No one really remembers when or why this tradition started. If asked, different Wild Ones will have different answers as to why they wear their mask. Many also have different theories as to why this tradition started as well.(What are some possible reasons as to why Wild One’s wear their masks?)

Coming of Age Rites

Children of Wild One’s will receive their first mask when they are old enough to walk and hold a weapon.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Elders will seek out younger Wild Ones to take on as pupils or they will seek out previous pupils. The Elders will pass on their wisdom, and when the time comes their pupils will hold a funeral in their honor. They hold a feast in their name, preparing dishes that were the favorite of the deceased.  When buried, a post is erected, and the deceased’s mask is hung from it. Then the Elder’s pupils will carve stone versions of their masks and set them at the bottom of the post.

Ideals

Courtship Ideals

When a Wild one wishes to court another, they will go off and hunt a Feral Pokemon. When slain, they will return with the spoils of their hunt and offer them up to the person of interest. If the person of interest accepts, the two are now together. If they reject it, they throw the gifts in a fire.    When two Wild Ones wish to wed, the two set off to hunt a Feral Pokemon together. They will invite other Wild Ones to witness their hunt. After they work together to slay the feral, they have a feast. Those who witnessed their hunt will help gather and prepare food, and the night of they celebrate.   At the feast, the newlyweds will craft matching jewelry out of the parts of the Feral they had slain together.
