Astra is the head of The Lunar Communion "Lunala", she has jet black long hair with stars in it, she has moon-gray eyes, she has a large moon tattoo which changes to represent the current phase of the moon also. when Astra was little, she was stricken by a disease, so in extange for curing her of this disease, lunala took her soul which through Astra's efforts she regained her soul in its entirety. Astra is also Arachna's childhood friend, however when she gained her powers she was taken away to study Lunala's teachings as she quickly rose through the ranks.

She has the ability to create pure darkness in a 60 foot radius, making it so no pokemon or people are able to see anything, she can also sprout wings that look like Lunala's granting her flight.

she also has the ability to sacrifice herself to summon lunala out of herself with the phrase "Oh Night Mistress, your humble daughter summons thee at the ultimate price"
