Session 08 - Abyssal Assault

General Summary

After having a vision of Bernard with overtilled, tainted earth, Tradegate is attacked. Because VV wandered off awestruck by more things, Drakor rushed off to find him, leaving Tech, Satoshi, Clover, and Varix to handle the attack. They handled Gibbering Mouthers, Gray Ooze, and Babau before finally a Vrock attacked. Satoshi realizes this is the monster that killed her family years ago and left her scarred. At the last minute an Equinal Guardinal named Raldren charged in and helped the heroes dispatch the demons back to the Abyss.
Raldren explains that he's a guardinal, an agent of good from Elysium, and Satoshi's old mentor Bernard is a Mustival guardinal. The fact that Bernard has been trying to reach Satoshi through her dreams and visions means that he's in trouble and calling for her to take action. Raldren reveals that the clan that bought Satoshi's family farm, the Myrdar clan, made a deal with a demon out of greed. The monsters that attacked probably came from Azzagrat, the triple realm in the Abyss consisting of the 45th, 46th, and 47th layers known for being a gathering place for merchants seeking unscrupulous deals. Ruled by the demon lord Graz'zt, considering the connection to rotten produce, Raldren suspects that Moander, the demon of rot, corruption, and decay, has escaped his exile and joined forces with Graz'zt. Though Tech is furious that Raldren entered their fight acting like the savior, the guardinal says that Satoshi must continue this path on her own while the rest of the group investigates the conspiracy around their originator tech, and she will rejoin with them later.
