Axani Wedding Invitation

All guests of the Axani wedding received necklaces with a crystal or stone weaved into them, as is tradition. However the group realizes that their own pearlescent stone doesn't seem to resemble anyone else's. When the Architect attacked, it seemed repelled from their stones. Even more curious, they seem to have aided the group's escape from the carnage. Was it truly fate and coincidence? Or did someone or something make sure that the right people received these wedding invitations.
