QuickStart Guide

The Game World

    • There's a Persistent Sandbox World set in the Caribbean area.
    • The year (in game) is 1726 - Nearing the end of the Golden-Age-Of-Pirates
    • You are a young, energetic person who's just arrived in the Caribbean
    • You're dropped off on the island of Barbados and find yourself in the city of "12-Bridgetown"
    • There are _The 18 Zones QUICK CHART, representing 18 areas of the Caribbean
    • If you don't have a boat or ship, you can rent one, hitch a ride, hire a water taxi or purchase a watercraft
    • Time (turns) are handled using Week/Day/Action cards, which are found inside every PiratesMG Booster Card Packs
    • A week = 7 days, a day = 7 actions. Purchasing some rum from a merchant is one action. Sailing from 12-Bridgetown to 11-Martinique is a 1 day sail

Whatnot

    • The Whatnot stream will have a few 'screen-parts' within the display
    • One screen part with be a digital slide-show that has the WORLD MAP often displayed
    • One screen part will be a 'ticker' with helpful hints and info scrolling across
    • The final screen part will be a live camera showing the game master and the card sorting and display area.
    • This sorting and display area is where you'll be able to see the cards you had in the pack you bought as well as a limited view of all the other players playing the game at that particular moment in time

 

Legacy Gaming

    • Characters CARRY FORWARD in the game
    • We'll send you some or all of your cards purchased during the auctions. The cards NOT sent to you are stored temporarily for your to CONTINUE your voyage in following Auction-streams (games).
