History

Cora Valley was founded after the Ancient Ones brought Pinegaard to the Fey Realm. The human Aralel Tras established town to unite the people in the region who came to the Fey Realm with the land, which included elves, orks, dragonkin, hauflin, gnomes, and humans. Fey emissaries from the Northern Court emerged from the northern part of the mountains to meet with this new township. Tras and the other townsfolk agreed to establish a trade with the Northern Court to help with acquiring resources.   The town is peaceful though it’s been through its share of tragedy. One instance was with Bloodcross Invasion in 65 AT. Vampires and cultists from the Bloodcross Order seized the town and injured several residents, including two prominent dragonkin, the town Sheriff Bara Brewfist, and her partner, Florin, the local veterinarian. Their son Duke vanished, and their house burned to the ground. Then-mayor Json Antino built a memorial commemorating the attack.

Points of interest

Applepressery - one of the largest buildings in town is the Applepressery which makes cider, candied apples, and other apple juice. It’s a popular place for the townsfolk and visitors to gather. Every year the owner, Schaal Skuldottr, holds a celebration to honor the pressery’s opening.   Gosa’s Grange - a large farmhouse built on the town’s border that serves as an inn for folks. It’s named after the vampire dragon Flolagosa. No official reason for the grange’s creation was recorded, though some claim it’s to appease the dragon’s spirit.   Scarecrow Museum - Cora valley has a museum dedicated to scarecrows, dolls, mannequins, and puppets. It was established to honor Marla Greenbranch, a druid and ventriloquist who resided in town. Some folks who walk near the museum claim to hear voices from inside the building.
