Cora Valley's Apple Beer

Cora Valley’s Appelpressery has numerous brews available for any ale lover to try and enjoy, but the most celebrated drink is the establishment’s Apple Beer, which has endured through the town’s existence.
The Apple Beer Challenge The Applepressery has a special challenge for patrons regarding Apple Beer. Those who are brave enough to drink a Giant-Sized Stein amount of Apple Beer, which equates to six pints, will receive a special coin with the Applepressery’s name on it, and a night of free drinks. Their names are written on a tapestry reserved for Apple Beer Challenge champions. Among these champions are several members of the Teadrinker monster-hunting family.

History

Apple Beer was the first beer brewed after Cora Valley was founded after Pinegaard was brought to the Fey Realm. To pass the time, a group of farmers and aspiring brewers took a barrel of apples they grew, pressed them, added beer wort, and fermented it with ale yeast for four weeks. Once the drink was finished, the farmers tried this new concoction and celebrated its taste.

Execution

The recipe for Apple Beer has largely remained the same over the years. The Applepressery’s current owner, Schaal Skuldottr has vowed to stick to the original method to appease the farmers’ spirits.

Participants

The farmers credited with creating Apple Beer are Willeye Orbos, Endel Plats, Booar Bear-friend, and Rither Armal.

Observance

With its popularity growing among the locals, Apple Beer became the town’s signature alcoholic drink, served at weddings, ceremonies, funerals, and life day celebrations. Some residents have even written into their will that a pint of Apple Beer be buried with them in their casket, or their ashes spread near the apple trees.
Residents of Cora Valley will celebrate their transition to adulthood with a pint of Apple Beer at the Applepressery. First-time visitors to Cora Valley are encouraged to have an Apple Beer, and many are surprised at how good it tastes. The orc chieftain Furtan Wolfbane took the recipe back to his group in the Clear Marshes.
