The Bone Daddy

Master of Fun

Lyrica rubbed her dirt-covered chin thoughtfully and glanced down at the pamphlet in her hand. It featured a skeleton wearing a top hat and was enchanted so that the skeleton would tip its hat at the viewer. “COME ONE, COME ALL, TO THE BONE DADDY’S HOUSE OF FUN!” the pamphlet proclaimed on top and then directly beneath it, “Now with less chances of accidental death! This week only!” It might be worth it, she thought. It wasn’t like anything interesting happened in the small town of Judgement. She approached the edge of town and saw the funhouse that had appeared mysteriously that morning in a cloud of pamphlets like the one she was currently holding. It was three stories tall and built to resemble the skeleton’s head and his top hat on the pamphlet. Each floor painted a different color. The first floor was green, the second yellow, and the third red. She couldn’t see a visible door, only a rope hanging from thin air with a sign that read “Pull Me” next to it.   Lyrica’s nose twitched a few times as she began to have second thoughts. She glanced at the pamphlet again and shrugged. She pulled the rope. An invisible bell rang and then the very ground she stood was gone, replaced by a red and yellow striped slide. She shrieked with equal parts terror and delight before coming to a gentle stop at a desk manned by a skeleton wearing a top hat and a red ring master’s suit.   “Ah! My first guest! Hello! I am the Bone Daddy and welcome to my House of Fun!” the skeleton cheerfully exclaimed. “How many more of you can I expect?”

The Bone Daddy's Past

Who the Bone Daddy was before his transformation is up for some debate. What we do know about him is that he was a student of magic in Talvil and always had a love of traps. He claims that he travelled the lands, setting up his funhouse for locals’ entertainment. Neither pieces of this information seem to help people narrow down who he was, as there were many such Talvilish wizards who pursued a similar life, many of whom were inspired by the book “Lich Queen Irene’s Fabulous Guide to Fatal Traps”.
