Tribe Guardians

Composition

Manpower

Depending on the sie of the tribe they are protecting, the size of a guardians formation varies between 10 and a few hundreds individuals.

Equipment

The Guardians are equipped with the specific weapons of the tribe they belong to: tomahawk and bow for Blue Boar and Black Wolf, spear and boomerang for Red Foxes and pickaxes, spears and maces for White Bear. The armour is adequate to the climate and territory of origins, but usually is a medium weight one. The troops are assisted depending on the case by horses and/or trained wolfdogs.

Training

The training for the Guardians begins at the age of 14-16, it is expected that by that time the children already know the rudiments of combat with their weapon of choice. Due to the lack of structure in the units, the training is principally responsibility of the older members of the unit that mentor the youngest.

Logistics

Logistical Support

The units travel with the tribe they protect. Commonly the tents of the Guardians are placedat the perifhery of the camp, as a shield for the inner portions that is dedicated to the young, the mothers and the elders.

Recruitment

The recruitment is voluntary. At the coming of age both boys and girls are given a choice of leaving the tribe to form a family in a different comunity, or stay in the settlement and become celibate Guardians, dedicated to the protection of their community.
