General Summary

Wednesday 24/05/2345

The Iron Pit

Everyone is too wrapped up in their own shit to notice what’s going on (perception K 14, G 13, M 12, B 1)
B takes the time to loot the bodies and finds a shield, a long sword, a javelin, 2 daggers, chainmail, a glaive, a rapier, black plate armour, a short bow and a total of 300 gold
T holds M and asks if she’s alright M says “This is all my fault”
T looks up and says, “Do something!” but nothing happens and he looks back to M “Don’t talk like that”
M says, “But it is” and his grip tightens around her in a hug, he shakes his head and says “No, you can’t think like that”
M says “I thought I was stronger, but apparently, I’m still doing what he tells me to do” T doesn’t have the context for that and stands up, holding M in his arms still and looks to G, saying “She keeps talking about someone, I don’t think it’s Korbus, do you know who she means?”
G walks over and stands on her tip toes, T lowers himself down so she can reach and she places a hand on M’s shoulder and tells her “It’s not her fault...” M says “I should have checked the stupid brooch”
G says “You couldn’t have known” M replies “I should have, instead I did what he always taught me to do”
G says “Well, you don’t have to do what he tells you now” M says “But I still did” G replies, “And that’s in the past” M says, “What if I’m not strong enough? What if I never lose the influence he has over me?” G says “I think you’re stronger than you think”
M takes a deep breath and is able to collect herself a little bit more, still shaking and overwhelmed but not in the depths of panic anymore and says “Ok... I’m sorry” (wisdom save 14)
The group are surprised to hear the sound of clapping, not noticing anyone else was in the room (perception K & G 14, B 11, M 7)
They turn to see an avian creature standing by the entrance they came in with a gold oil lamp like piece placed on the table beside them with the spout pointing at the group
The Bird figure claps and says “What a show! Truly brilliant! You guys live up to all the hype and drama I’ve heard about”
M says, “And you are?” He ignores her and says, “I’ve been tasked to keep you put and I know I can’t do that so...” and he rubs the side of the lamp, nothing visibly happening at the moment and continues “Don’t worry, something’s been put in place”
M casts dispel magic on the lamp, but the magic of the spell seems to impact mid-air a few feet in front of the group
M and G are unable to think of what this might be (Arcana M 9, G 5) but B is able to recall tales of a creature, a spirit that when captured can be used to prevent passage through it that can’t be attacked or dispelled
B looks at the avian figure and says “You assholes” he returns a big grin as he starts walking backwards away from the group
B walks up to the barrier with intent to try and free it
B casts mage hand outside the barrier and send it over to the lamp
M studies the figures face, trying to commit it to memory
The stranger sees the mage hand heading towards the table and tries to bolt, the mage hand tries to grab the lamp by the lid to throw it at him, but the lid doesn’t budge then has the mage hand rub the side of the lamp and nothing happens
B whispers to M to keep him talking
M calls out and says she didn’t catch his name, he says she’s not going to get it
M says “Well, I just don’t want to be rude when referring to you in the future. Obviously, you’re going to be part of some fantastic story, no matter the outcome and I just want to do my due diligence to make sure everyone is credited for their roles properly” (persuasion 19)
The stranger turns back towards the group, hand on hips and says, “and you think I'm going to give my name to some bard with who’s going to curse me ‘til the end of my days? No, I don’t think so”
M says “You know, if I could curse... Maybe that’s something I should look into” (intimidation 12) he bites his lip and looks uneasy saying “You can’t actually do that, can you?”
M says “Not yet, it could be something I look into. But also, I don’t think I really need your name, I believe. I am familiar with you, I have seen your face, many of the spells that I could use to curse you, or I don’t know, look upon you in the future, I don’t need your name, I have all the information I need. So surely there’s no harm in telling me now”
B is trying to figure out if there’s a trick to getting through the barrier
M gets a a good look at the avian as they are talking, seeing he has a red head and bluish black wings in yellow light armour
He says “Well, if it doesn’t matter, my name’s Rikabe” M says it’s a pleasure to meet him and introduces herself as he continues to back away
B gets his mage hand to try and put a finger over the spout of the lamp, but it is blocked from doing so as though the wall is extended from it
Rikabe says “If that’s all you need, I’m outta here” and M says she’s curious as to how he got wrapped up in all of this as he seems like a clever guy, he says “Oh by the gods, why are you so interested in me? I’m really just trying to go”
M says this event is obviously going to go down in history and she wants to make sure it’s accurately recorded
Rikabe looks worried and M asks why the rush, he says “I’ve done my part, I have to go” M asks what he’s scared of, and he says he’s not scared of her and turns to leave (persuasion 15)
B yells out for him to wait and Rikabe stops and turns around
B asks if he was the one who trapped it, he says he wasn’t the one who tames it but he was present for it
B rests his forehead against the creature and gently whispers to it (12 performance) and doesn’t sense any ill-will from it
M asks how one does tame whatever this is, he ignores her and turns to leave
G asks again how he did it (persuasion 15) Rikabe says he’s just the one charged to deliver and deploy it and that he’s done that so he’s leaving
M says, “You think you’re going to be safe now?” he says he does and M says “I sincerely hope you are correct in that. Maybe I’ll check in on you in the future”
Rikabe says “Well, if you don’t curse me” and gives the group a shaky salute and leaves and M calls out behind him “I hope he doesn’t find you”
T tries to figure out what is going on but has no clue (arcana 9)
M steps forward and asks B if he knows what this is, he says they trapped a spirit and it doesn’t want to be there anymore than they do
M puts a hand on the barrier, feeling a cobblestone wall and says “I know you don’t want to be here as much as we don’t, maybe we can help each other out, if you will allow me, I think I can help you” and casts detect thoughts
M hears a language she is unfamiliar with but sees flashes of images of an autumnal landscape with dry grass and rocky patches and sees the wall creature with red-grey bricks and gets a feeling of contentedness, like that’s where it is supposed to be and where it wants to be
M says she has an idea and asks everyone to give her 10 minutes while she ritual casts comprehend languages
Baltoc asks what they are doing and B says they’re communing with spirits, Baltoc asks why and B tells him to come over to see
Baltoc hops over and B taps on the wall, telling him to take a feel of it, Baltoc puts his hand out and it passes through the wall and says he doesn’t know what the big deal is before hoping through
B sighs and asks Baltoc what he is made out of and he says “I don’t know what to tell you, I don’t even know how I came to be. I’ve just always been a scarecrow”
B tells him to go see if he can figure out anything with the lamp over on the table and he hops over, 5 minutes pass and he can be seen frustratedly clawing and swinging at it with nothing happening
G is looking at the wall wondering how a creature like that manages to get trapped in a lamp
M finishes casting comprehend languages and realises that she can only restore a level 1 spell slot with her 2 sorcery points and detect thoughts is a level two spell so she can’t cast it again
The group stare at the wall in thought and G remembers tales from back home about stories she’s heard and starts to think that maybe it’s not about what Baltoc is made from but his intentions and thoughts as he passed through (intelligence G 18, B 11, M 5)
G tries really hard to believe there isn’t a wall there at all and walks right through (performance 11)
T looks at her and asks how she got through an G says, “The wall does not exist, believe the wall doesn’t exist” Baltoc asks what wall
M decides to full send a round-off back tuck, focussing on landing it rather than getting through the wall and makes it through (performance 26)
T, K and B all follow (performance K nat 20, T 13, B 10)
As M passes though she hears a voice in her head saying “It was nice having you”
The lamp shatters after everyone passes through, M goes up and collects all the pieces of it
M then heads up to the VIP area that Nekros had been in to see if she can find anything in there but only finds a petrified guard and nothing else (investigation 12)
M asks Baltoc if Nyx has an office and he leads her a small thrown together room and lets her in, seeing living quarters that very much look temporary
She has a look through to see if she can find any paperwork, correspondence with Nekros or anything of the like but mostly finds a lot of things pointing towards Nyx wanting to leave in the near future as well as a very small book tucked away by his bed that appears to be his journal, containing plans for leaving the pit in someone else’s hands and to get his crew in order to leave. She puts it in her pocket and turns to leave
M goes to Baltoc and says they’re going to try find someone to help, she has some ideas and asks if there are any clerics, druids or bards in the troupe, or anyone that can cast restoration magic, he said Esmeralda is a bard adjacent and that Rose can use restoration magic, M asks if he knows where they are and he says he doesn’t know
M says when she finds someone, she will bring them down to help and wishes him luck, he seemingly tries to wink at her

Genevieve’s Inn

The team head back to Genevieve’s sneaking and “acting natural” to avoid guards as they go (Stealth T 25 K 7, performance G 14, M 13, B nat 1)
T is using his body to block view of B from the guards while G and M act as a distracting, M coming up and taking her arm and pretending to be very drunk having just witnessed two men start a bar brawl over her and how she kicked both of their asses, one of the guards shakes his head and sighs while another whistles and catcalls them, M winks at him
As they come upon Genevieve’s K and G hear the sounds of a fight (perception K 24, G 17, M15, B 14, T double nat 1s)
They get closer and see about 50 dead guards at Alastros’ feet, he himself looking very worse for wear as he fights off the last six
The windows have all been smashed and the whole place looks in disarray
M fires a healing arrow at Alastros, healing him for 11, giving just enough of a boost for him to decapitate the two guards in front of him
Looking at the faces of the guards, they seem frightened and like they are under some kind of charm, like they were compelled to do this
M calls out and says “It’s going to end better for you if you leave, this is not worth dying for” but it seems to fall on deaf ears
G runs up and tackles two of the guards and Alastros reaches behind him to grab two arrows that were wedged in the wood of the door frame and stabs them into the guards, killing them
B tosses his sack of loot at the remaining guards, knocking one of them over (athletics 13) and Alastros grabs a sword and jams it into the guard before also stabbing the last remaining one then falling in exhaustion, barely managing to get out the words “Get in there! I don’t know how many got in” as G kneels down to check on him
G dashes in, followed by M, B, K and T
They find the place to be completely trashed, a petrified Alaric with shield in front looking like he’s ready to charge with a smashed cupcake at his feet, giving the impression it was thrown at him before he even got the chance to act
There are signs of a struggle, scorch marks and drops of blood in places with bottles and furniture strewn about
The group follow the path of destruction and see a hole in the wall like someone tore through it to make an entry as well as drag marks leading up the stairs
M suggests they split up to cover more ground at once and she heads upstairs
As she rounds the corner the first thing she says is a prone and petrified Xeranova, reaching out to the far window with a look of extreme concern on her face
M turns to follow her gaze and sees an open window at the end of the hall, the glass broken and blood on the windowsill as well as little claw marks, giving the impression that someone trying to fly out but was dragged back in
B and G got to check Genevieve’s room, seeing both Orrinar and Genevieve petrified and sitting on the bed looking towards the door with shock and concern
M follows the tracks back down the stairs, stopping a moment to hold X’s hand on the way down.
She gets the impression that whoever was there busted the hole in the back wall to get out since Alastros was standing in the front door
T and K take Alastros in and lay him down in one of the booths, K starting to dress his wounds
B has a look at the exit hole and gets the impression some sort of magic was used to blow it open
M heads back into the main room and gently caresses A’s cheek before turning to the group and saying, “I’m going to check on Morritha, who’s coming with me?” B nods and stands up and they both head out

The Enchanted Trinket

The arrive out the front of The Enchanted Trinket to find the store has ransacked
M and B look around to see if there are any signs of anyone having been in (investigation M 21, B 11)
M sees that a lot of stuff has been taken but also spots a little false wall as she goes to where she knows there to be a trap door, she opens it and Morritha slips out saying she has a few little hideaways that she normally uses for magic items and that she has stayed in there just in case anyone came back
M tells her she’s coming back with them but first she wanted to go to the general store, Morritha asks if it’s safe and M says she has it on good authority that Penda is a druid at that they could use that kind of help currently
M asks if Morritha if she knows any way to undo petrification, she says she doesn’t and asks why, M says multiple people in town have been petrified
Morritha grabs a couple little things she thinks she might need and pops them into her bag before heading out with B and M

Penda’s General Store

As they come upon the general store, they find 2 guards stationed outside
M asks them if everything is alright, they ask who she is and she says she’s “just some bard” they tell her the store is closed
M asks if they know if Penda is in and they ask who that is, M says she’s the owner of the store they are standing in front of
The guards tell her “No” and she asks “No, you don’t know, or no, she’s not in?” The guards say she’s not in and M asks if they mind if she just knocks on the door, they ask why she wants to knock on the door for someone who isn’t there and she says she just wants to check they say they know she’s not there
M subtly points at the building and uses message to see if Penda is inside but gets no response
B walks up and knocks both of their heads together (strength 15) and they both fall unconscious
M and B step over the bodies and push the door open
Inside they find a lot of the regular general store stock one might expect, and M looks around to see if there is a house attacked to the shop, finding a staircase that leads upstairs in a cozy abode with lots of plants
One of the plants outside on the windowsill looks different from the others
M looks for any signs of people or animals but neither her nor B see anything (perception M 6, B 7)
B has a look at the flower on the window but doesn’t recognise it
M calls out for Penda but doesn’t get a response
They notice there doesn’t seem to be any signs of struggle like there had been at other places
M takes 10 minutes to cast Illusory Script and leaves a note for Penda, saying that they need her help, where they are, who to look out for and the code phrase they have and tucks it just under a book on her bedside table, somewhere others might not spot but she will notice
As they head out M has a look around and notices a note (investigation 21, B 7)
M picks it up, finding it to be a note saying to meet at the graveyard tonight with a little love heart and signed by Belric, she shows it to B and says they should head back to Genevieve's and get Morritha settled
The 3 head back out and B decides to “take care of” the guards as they leave, M choosing to turn a blind eye to this

Genevieve’s

Morritha sees the petrified A and starts touching his muscles, saying how very detailed it is and M tells her that’s because it is actually him, she blushes and apologises
M fills everyone in on what they found and asks if people think it’s a good idea to go and see if they can find her at the graveyard tonight
B says they should probably go and M says that a few people should definitely stay put, T volunteers to stay and look after Alastros
M looks at K, saying that Lilinara said Penda was hoping to meet her so did she want to come with, K says she will
M says B should stay put since the guards, or what is left of them, are looking for him
T asks if they think it’s still a safe place to stay given the attack on it M says she doesn’t think anywhere is safe and he doesn’t know how to respond to that
M says they should get everybody into the basement since it’s the most defensible and refreshes everyone on the code phrase
T picks up Alastros and carries him down, B starts gathering the petrified people to also take down and M looks at him with worry and asks that he be careful with them
M links her arm around K’s and says “Alright, date night at the graveyard” and they head out

Ravenswood Rest Cemetery

K and M arrive at the open gate set into stone walls with protective arcane runes set into them
They see a stone obelisk set in the center, the main funeral building (Raven’s Shade Hall) and the caretakers cottage
They can see lights on in the cottage and verdant gardens surrounding it as well as smoke billowing from the chimney and decide to head that way
M knocks and an older man answers the door, initially looking excited but his expression soon turn to disappointment
M asks if he is Belric and he says he is, she asks if he has seen Penda and he says that’s who he was expecting to see when he opened the door
Belric invites them in and asks what brings them to his place. M explains the situation inside the town walls and that they know she is a druid, like K
Belric looks concerned and denies the fact, asking them to please not hurt her, M explains that they’re not looking to harm her but wishing to seek her help.
Belric says help is something he can do but all he can really do is make the undead ward runes to protect the cemetery
M asks when he last saw Penda and he says it was a few days ago
M recalls finding no signs of a struggle at her place and says she doesn’t know if she’s been taken like the other in town and Belric looks very worried
M starts asking him if he could pass a message onto her if she shows up, but is interrupted him says “Wait, she could be out there?”
M says that’s why they came to him, the found his note to here and figured it was their best lead, he says it was going to be date night tonight, but she never showed and that he grows all her favourite plants for her
M asks what he wants to do, if he would feel safer staying put outside of town where there hasn’t seemed to be any untoward activity or coming back with them and he says he’d like to stay, if anything maybe they should stay with him as it sounds like it may be safer than in town
M says they’ll come back to check on him tomorrow and if Penda shows up in the meantime could he pass a note onto her, and she writes a similar note as the one she left and Penda’s home
Belric says it was very nice meeting them as they head out, K says it was a pleasure to meet him too and M says his garden is beautiful and he gives her a big smile, he says he would love for them to come back under better circumstances
Before they get too far, he grabs K by the arm and asks if she’s a druid too, she confirms and he seems pleased
As she walks by the garden M casts Dancing Lights, making little Fairy lights throughout the garden and he seems delighted by that as they say farewell

Genevieve’s

The rest of the group have started fortifying the basement and blocking the holes in the walls upstairs
G is sitting by Alastros as he wakes up with a groan, but smiles when he says her, saying having a sword in your chest really does a number on you, she says she can imagine
Alastros says “thank your friend for that one” G says he’ll be able to thank her himself
As B is moving a table up against the wall he noticed he notices small, dark red flowers have started sprouting around the piles of bodies and wherever blood has spilled around the front of the door (perception 15)
He has a closer look and notices they don’t have thorns then takes a piece of wood and jabs at it causing it to start bleeding
B calls G upstairs and she joins him outside as he points to the flowers and asks if she’s ever seen anything like that before, G remembers tales that were told to spook children, tales of the dragon her ancestors had slain and where his blood had spilled, nature seemed to be changed, as if channelling his anger after his death (nature G 15, B 7)
G also gets the impression that they are definitely not natural and that it would be a very bad idea to touch them
T walks up behind them and asks what they’re looking at, G says, “Nothing good, I don’t think we should go near them” and points at the flowers, T looks around, pointing down the street and says there’s a lot more of them
B says he thinks he’s gonna burn them
T moves to stomp on a flower both G and B move to stop him, pushing him out of the way, inadvertently touching it in his stead (strength save B 15, G 12)
B suddenly feels himself thrust into another body, running towards Genevieve’s, scared and not in control of his actions, he draws his sword and goes to charge at Alastros, before a sword appears and punctures his eye
B snaps back to reality, legitimately feeling like he was the one who took the injury, that his eye was punctured and he screams, T jumps to attention, grabbing his weapon and asks what’s going on, B says they should definitely stay away from them
G is trying to soothe B while also saying “I told you we shouldn’t have touched them” T is very apologetic
Alastros comes out looking very concerned B looks back at him a little shaken by the whole suddenly dying but not dying ordeal

Heading Back Through Town

K and M start noticing the same dark read petalled flowers as they walk back through town, M casts detect magic and gets whiffs of necromancy, transmutation, conjuration and enchantment
M points to them and says, “I wouldn’t touch those, but what do you make of them?” but nothing really comes to mind as she looks at them, more curious about what would happen if she touched it (nature 8)
K says she doesn’t think she’s seen anything like them before, and M says she’s not getting good magic vibes from them
M casts firebolt on it, causing blood to splatter on the ground then uses prestidigitation to clean it up and continues to do the same any time she spots a flower or blood on the way back having observed they seem to grow around blood
K & M are keeping an eye on their surroundings as they move, M using the Ear Cuff of the Vampire Bat, dealing her 4 necrotic damage (perception K 20, M 14+4)
As they get close to Genevieve’s they both spot a confused looking Leonin behind a stall and stacked crates
M puts her hand on the hilt of The Ash Song and cautiously walks up, asking if everything is alright
The Leonin says that Lilinara and Jazen sent him, M asks if Lili told him to meet at Genevieve’s Inn, he says yes and asking if she is Genevieve, M says she’s not, but she is a friend of Lili
He clears his throat and says “Oh right, um, the day is looking very lavender... Did I do that right?” M says “You’re meant to say petrichor but close enough” he says “Oh yeah, that’s the one. I don’t think I’ve heard that word before” K says that’s part of the reason they chose it
K looks to M and says that he got it backwards, asking what she thinks, she says backwards is close enough
He introduces himself as Banso, the girls can see that he is carrying a short sword, a long bow and a banjo
Banso says he appreciates they help of their friends and M tells him to come with them so they can introduce him to everyone else
M says it’s a bit of a shitshow, and he responds with “what isn’t nowadays”
He looks down and sees a flower, asking what it is and reaches for it
M goes to stop him, and would have succeeded if K didn’t fall over herself resulting in both of them stumbling and touching it (dexterity save M 24, K nat 1)
They are both pulled from their bodies, seeing through someone else's eyes, feeling dread as they look over the market stalls and the 4 guards in front of them, blood spurting from their neck as they fall onto the neighbouring stall. A shadow suddenly emerges to their left and they see Jazen who throws a dagger at another guard then then disappears and they hear his voice behind them saying “Gods will fall, I am the arbiter” and they feels their necks sliced as they fall and their vision returns to them
M clutches her throat and says “Oh, what the fuck!?” K says she didn’t like that
M says “Definitely don’t touch those. Oh, I don’t like that at all” hand still grasping at her neck
M throws 3 firebolts at the spot it was in on the ground just for good measure then makes sure to clean up any remaining blood
K apologises saying she wasn’t entirely paying attention
The three of them collect themselves and head to Geneivieve’s

Genevieve’s

B is looking for something flammable to dump on the flowers and sees blue firebolts from the distance as M burns them as she sees them
M looks at him and says, “So don’t touch the flowers” B says, “Yeah we found that one out” M says “Yeah, Jazen slit my throat, that was fun” B replies “I got my eye stabbed”
M says “Oh, delightful... Yeah Jazen needs to work on his one-liners”
M suggests everyone sleeps in the basement and to have at 2 people on watch during the night, offering to take first and second as she only needs 4 hours of rest, B offers to take first watch with her and the rest head to bed

First Watch

M notices B team approaching with a red mist or haze following 5 feet above them, she also sees some of the flowers are growing out of the walls seem to be letting out little puffs that look to coalesce into the existing mist Accompanied by a Dwarf, a Warforged and Aasimar (perception M nat 20, B 13)
M nudges B and points in their direction and says, “What the fuck is going on?” B says he doesn’t know but they’re going to have to burn everything tomorrow and that he’s not leaving those things lying around
The mist doesn’t seem to enter buildings
M opens the door and motions for them all to come in
B uses divine sense and gets necromantic vibes from it but feels there is much more to it than that and the two of them are able to deduce that it’s the same as the flowers
Dona and Lili have an uncontrollable sense of paranoia and suspicion (Wisdom save Jazen 7, Lili 4, Syyrik 11, V 16 Donatortle 8, Draekos 20)
Dona finds a dark corner to skulk in
Jazen walks in and asks “What the hell happened here? I thought we weren’t killing a ton of guards?” M says “Not unprovoked at least. They kind of charged the place. Jineyih and Sylvara are missing and the rest of the C team are turned to stone, much like the folk in The Jolly Jackalope and The Iron Pit”
V walks up to B and tugs on his arm and whispers into his ear that they’ve all been acting weird for the last 5 or so minutes, that they’ve been mumbling to themselves and such, says something definitely isn’t right, B says there’s some demon flowers out there
C walks up and says “What did you say happened to Jineyih? Where’s Jineyih?” M says she’s missing, and he asks what she means by missing and starts looking around panicked
M sees everyone looking a little suspicious and starts playing Countercharm in the hope that is helps people calm down, Banso pulls out his banjo and joins her
C starts pacing behind the bar, the music seems to be helping but not getting rid of the effect
Syyrik is unusually quiet and hasn’t made a move to talk to M which she sees as suspicious. He sits in a corner with his arms crossed and looks deep in thought
M moves over to him while still playing and asks if he’s good, he shakes his head, not even moving to look at her
George floats over and swirls around B’s head saying he’d rather not be that far away from him again, B tells him not to worry, it was a one-time thing and puts him in his pocket
B looks at V and asks where his daughter is V fills him in on everything that happened, that they found probably exactly where Nekros seems to be set up, that they ran into a couple of patrols in the sewers but were able to stop them, and even help Banso and the other 3 people in his group (Eres, Elira and Grimdahl) explaining that they are a group of friends who got roped into all of this. He also explains that there were battalions of nightmare conduits and primes, but they were wiped out as well as someone who seemed to be higher on the food chain in Nekros’ order and that Syyrik found the Entrance to the Thieves’ Guild, but it looked like it had been ransacked. He also introduces Dona, a Tortle Monk and cartographer they met in the sewers who seems to be willing to help out
About 5 minutes passes and everyone returns to normal
V points out the fog and asks if they were breathing that in the whole time, M says she would assume so
M looks around trying to see if the fog followed them inside or is still lingering outside, popping her head out for a second but not seeing anything before she steps back inside
M fills the group in on what they learned, what happened here while they were gone and introduces herself to the new folk, though she is slightly suspicious given that they were under the employ of Nekros, but knows he has less than honest methods of recruitment
Everyone else heads down to the basement
M finishes learning Ill-Fated Word and copies Bridge of Vines for K while on watch
B sets George to transmute the materials he bought from the blacksmith

Gwinri’s Dream

G awakes in the throne room to see Gwenzaline sitting atop her throne and jogs up to her
Gwenzaline stands and shrinks herself down to about 7 feet to be closer to G’s size
She looks at G and says, “I think we need to take this to the next level” and walks around her before saying she has a gift for her if she is ready to accept it, G says she is
Gwenzaline’s hands grab G’s arms around the bracers, her hands glowing at G feels them begin to change into Gwenzaline’s Phase Breakers
G feels immense power and energy surge through her and Gwenzaline tells her not to squander it, G thanks her
Gwenzaline walks back to her throne and sits back down and drops her serious, stoic demeanour for a second and says, “Is he ok?” G says he’s doing fine, and she gives a relieved sign in response and says “That boy...”
G says the came just in time and Gwenzaline says “it was an interesting trick they played, who knew trying to convince the wall you didn’t want to go through it was the way through” G says she’s glad she figured that out and Gwenzaline with a half-smile and says “Use that power well, you’re going to need it, something is wrong where you are”
G feels that Gwenzaline has something she wants to say, but that now is not the time to ask (insight 3)
Gwenzaline says “Alright, his turn” and G wakes up in her bed

Kree’s Dream

K arrives in Kallista’s realm to see an Orc teen hitting a straw dummy with a scimitar in the castle courtyard.
The boy turns to her and says “Oh no, not you! Anyone but you!” K apologises and asks if everything is ok and the boy says that every time she’s around some weird happens to him. K apologises again and says she promises it’s not her fault
Kallista rises up out of the earth in front of them and whistles, summoning Derek from thin air
Kallista asks if she may see the trident and K hands it over to her, she takes it, holding it close to her chest, closing her eyes and resting her forehead against the prongs and lets out a purr-like sound and says “You are in good hands, aren’t you” to it as the trident glows gold for a moment and hands it back to K
She says “I’ve given you a gift, but you’re not going to like why” K says “I don’t figure that I ever will”
Kallista says she’s not a goddess of prophecy and places a hand on K’s cheek as she says “I fear I’ve seen your death” K says she’ll try to avoid that for as long as possible and that she’s not much good as a champion if she’s dead, Kallista smiles and laughs softly
Kallista asks what spell it is she uses to summon her flame blade, then says she has her own version and tells K to cast it
K takes a step back, holding the trident before her and casts Gold Flame Blade, lighting the trident up with a golden aura
Kallista says she’s been overdue for an update, K says she appreciates everything she has done for her and that she hopes to live up to her expectations
Kallista turns to Derek who stands to attention on K’s shoulder, she cups his face and appearating in his hand is a mini version of K’s trident, he looks ecstatic and starts crying saying it’s the happiest day of his life
Kallista walks over to the orc teen who is terrified, she leans forward, kisses him on the forehead and he turns to dust
K says, “Oh no!” and Kallista asks if she upset her, K says that he had just been saying that he was afraid of her because every time she showed up something weird happened to him
Kallista says she can’t leave it like that and summons him back and tells him to run along, he looks around and sees K still there and bolts
K asks if there’s a reason he’s still around, she says she played with him all those days ago to prove a point to K but she’s grown fond of him, adding that he gets into trouble and it’s fun to see
K says she was that age once too and Kallista looks at her with a serious expression and says, “Please don’t die” K says she will do her best
Kallista tells K she’s grown a lot and K says her help has been a great aid in that, Kallista says she only provided the tools and that K is the one to use them correctly
Kallista’s visage starts to shift, and she says it’s time for K to go
K asks if there’s anything she can do to help her and Kallista says, “Get me out of here” and she wakes up in her bed

Micarafae’s dream

M awakes in the middle of a melee with centaurs, lizardmen and minotaurs with clashing blades all around her before she hears a thunderous voice yell out to stop and they all move to clear a break as Korbus walks forwards, shrinking himself down to roughly 10 feet tall
He tells everyone to clear out, the bow and turn to leave as he kneels down in front of her and smiles saying, “Alaric told you that I always know when you’re coming right?” M says she believes he had told her that they knew last time she was coming but he didn’t say every time
Korbus says 99 times out of 100 he knows when she is coming and where she will appear but that he didn’t this time
M says one of these days she’ll sneak up on him, he says she would have managed it this time if she didn’t appear right where she did, she curses under her breath
Korbus says “As always, our time is fleeting. One of these days we’ll get a proper sit down” Then looks at her and asks if she’s alright, she laughs and says she’s not, he says he didn’t think so and that he was hoping to take her to the hot springs but that he will have to settle for giving her as much protection as he can
He tells her to hold out her hand and places in it a pendant saying “Trust me, this is a good one” in reference to the last time someone gave her a piece of jewellery
She looks at The Heart of the Eternal Revel and sees a scorched brass bull’s head with ruby eyes and a little horn and she puts it on
Korbus points to his own chest and tells her to tap the pendant, she does so and Ember bursts out and flies happily around Korbus
He asks her what she thinks and she says it seems pretty neat
He says he wants to see her use the new spells and she says she’s going to have a reason to very soon
He snaps his fingers, casting Melf’s Minute Meteors, causing blazing blue balls of flame to streak across the sky, He says “You’re going to give them hell kid, I know you are”
M says “Maybe once things have calmed down, I can use that to impress a date” He snorts before putting a hand on her back and says “You’re strong enough to get through this, I would know, I’m a god” M says she’ll take his word for it, he tells her to believe it as he pulls her in for a hug and she feels warmth flow through her body before she comes out of trance

Bruzrik’s Dream

B wakes up sitting in a hot tub in Zaolu’s workshop and sees Zaolu working at his workbench
B gets out of the hot tub and awkwardly says hi as he shakes the water off of himself
Zaolu asks where George is and B pulls him out of his pocket and he flies over to him
Zaolu tells B he didn’t want him to die and B says that makes two of them then asks B how many times he’s dropped in the last 3 days
B says he can’t remember but it’s a lot
Zaolu asks if his helmet is magical and he says it’s not and Zaolu tells him to get rid of it before telling George to open up
George unfolds himself into his forge set up and Zaolu starts gathering materials saying he’s been working on something for B as he installs something into George who retakes his orb form but about 3 times bigger than he was previously with the light inside him shifting colours
Zaolu tells B he’s got to stop dying and B says he’ll take it into consideration
Zaolu says he’s been meaning to make him some magical armour but that his counterpart has been needing some help too, so he has been having to send resources to her as well
Zaolu says he’s upgraded George to stage 2 and tells B to “Try him on”
B reaches out and puts the orb on top of his head, as soon as he does it changes shape and forms into a helmet over his head, giving him something of a heads-up display
B then wakes up in his bed
