General Summary

Wednesday 24/05/2345 

Ravenswood

Gwinri 

• G runs after her brother trying to figure out where he would go (history 12, investigation 17)
• She figures he’s probably headed out of the town gates and navigating around the outside and sees a trail of knocked out guards giving her the impression she’s heading in the right direction
• Sees guards running around trying to find someone, she tries to sprint past them but bumps into a half ogre before she gets out of town who looks down at her and says “Hey! That’s not very nice”
• She apologises and guard puts his hands on his hips and says she doesn’t need to get through because she’s rude
• She slips under his legs and zips past him (17 acrobatics)
• Follows tracks sees her brother moving slowly through the woods but hasn’t noticed her (7 perception vs 5 stealth)
• G speeds up and runs in front of him, he gasps and asks, “what are you doing here?!” she replies, “What are you doing here?” He says, “What do you mean what am I doing here, I told you what I’m doing here!” He puts a hand to his head, pinching the bridge of his nose and says “I’m sorry Gwinri, it’s just someone’s been messing with me mind” G says “Yeah, that’s been happening to a lot of people lately”
• He says they don’t have to deal with that kind of stuff under the mountain, and starts to ramble slightly about dragon spirits before getting himself back on track and sitting on a stump
• He says, “I guess you want to hear me say I’m sorry” G says “No, I don’t need to hear that you’re sorry, are you ok?”
• He says “Wasn’t going to give it to you anyway. I’m alright, I’m alright, Gwinri you’ve got to tell me what’s going on here” she says it’s a long story as begins to fill him in on the situation with Nekros as they walk to The Radiant Hall

The Radiant Hall 

• Jazen pulls B aside, looks like he’s about to call him Rik but thinks better of it and says “Bruzrik, I don’t know how good I’ll be in a fight unless I have, I hate to say it, but people to take hits for me. Collin and Gordon are both out and shade can’t take hits, but I’m still a blade, I’m still here to fight”
• B says “Well, once we've once we've regrouped, we'll figure out what we're going to do next. Maybe you can go somewhere where you're not going to get your ass kicked like whatever just happened.”
• Jazen side eyes him and says “Yeah, looks like you need a bit of mending yourself” B puts a hand on his shoulder and says “I hit her with a tree, remember that”
• Jazen teleports behind him and whispers in his ear “I know” (perception 1)
• Lili notices shade slip into B’s shadow so Jazen can keep an eye on what’s going on during the fight (perception 16)
• Jazen puts an arm around Lili and asks B where they’re heading, he looks at the Bands of the Lost and Found and leads the way in the direction it’s pointing
• C stays behind for the time being
• The girls run up and surround B as he tries to leave and start fawning over him, asking how the fight went, he kneels down and says that another one of the monsters he was hunting is dead. Rebecca says, “Fuck yeah!” B stares at Rebecca in surprise then says that there are still more but they’re going to go find them
• Natalie and Ossandra give him a kiss on the cheek and Candace and Rebecca run over to Lili and Jazen and tell them to come back and visit soon, Jazen and Lili say they will be back, Candace gives them a hug and Rebecca punches Jazen in the arm, Lili gives both of them a hug
• As they leave, they see C summoning some skeletons and looks to be putting them to work repairing and fortifying the walls
• They see some chaos amongst the guards as they’re heading back and decide to just walk through and manage to weave their way through the back alleys of thw town until they arrive at The Silver Hourglass Bathhouse & Spa (perception B 5, Lili 10)

Outside The Silver Hourglass Bathhouse & Spa 

•  B goes to head straight into the VIP area of the baths, figuring that’s where everyone is Perception Lili 9, Jazen 14)
• B sees Jazen summon his dagger and throw it into the public area of the bathhouse and says, “What the hell was that?” then goes to look around the corner
• B sees a guard holding a young copper Dragonborn, he lets go of the kid and they book it out of there
• B sees the guard had a dagger in his hand that he drops to reach for the dagger Jazen threw that is no lodged in his chest
• B walks up and grabs him as sees necrotic veins spreading across his neck from the dagger’s poison
• B asks him what he was doing with the child, the guard’s eyes go wide and he says “It’s you! It’s you! You’re the one...” He stops to cough up blood and B sahkes him asking “I’m the one, what?” The guard says “You’re the dragonborn we’re supposed to kill!”
• B breaks his neck and upon searching the body he finds rolled up parchment of a wanted poster with his description on it stating that there is a reward of 5000 gold for anyone who can provide information to the Blackthorns regarding him with the implication of more if he were to be apprehended and brought to them (investigation 20)
• B says to Jazen “Wanna go rat me out and get money?” Jazen looks serious and says, “I’ll rat you out, I just couldn’t let him kill a kid” B says “Good, if you ever crossed a line like that I’d have to kill you. But now what do to do with this one?” and shakes the body
• Jazen says “You won’t like this, but I can make him disappear” B narrows his eyes and says “You’re absolutely right, I don’t like it, but since we don't really have a lot of other options and I can't exactly just shove him in a coat closet and call it a day...” and tosses the body to the floor adding “Make it quick at least”
• Lili hears this and says “Ok, bye” and walks around the corner
• Jazen cuts his palm and summons part of Collin to take care of the body and joins Lili around the corner while he waits

Gwinri 

• G and Orrinar have to cut through town on the way to the radiant hall as there were guards patrolling the outskirts of town and they see Alastros in blackthorn armour over his regular pulling his blade out of a guard and see 16 dead guards around
• Alastros says “How many of these do I have to kill today?” and wipes his brow
• G gets the impression he’s baiting more guards to approach him (16 perception)
• G runs up and pulls him aide asking what he’s doing, he says “What do you mean what am I doing?”
• G says, “We need to be keeping a low profile” Alastros reaches into his quiver as she’s speaking, pulling out an arrow and aiming his bow over her shoulder and shooting another guard coming up behind them
• Alastros looks her in the eyes and says, “What am I supposed to do when I see them attacking the townsfolk?” G says, “That’s a good point, but were all these guards attack townsfolk?” He replies “I don’t know how many I’ve killed actually”
• G says he should stick with them and he agrees, goes to put the bow away before notching another arrow and shooting another guard over Orrinar’s shoulder and killing them
• Alastros apologises, puts the bow away and tells G to lead the way
• They head off and Orrinar says “I saw another man kill a Blackthorn guard” and points in that direction (perception G & Alastros 6, Orrinar 19)
• G looks and sees Jazen and Lili and says they should head that direction
• Orrinar puts a hand out to stop her and says, “Hold on there, you know this guy?” G says she does and looks to Alastros saying “You seem to have a lot of friends who kill guards Gwinri”
• As they are talking Alastros throws 2 daggers, killing another 2 guards saying “I think I’m at 35”
• G puts a hand on Orrinar’s shoulder and says “Trust me, I’ll explain it all later, I’ll introduce everyone, we just need to move”

Lili, Jazen and Bruzrik

• G and company approach Lili and Jazen, seeing a puddle of blood and parts of a skeleton on the ground
• Jazen says “I don’t think we have time Lili, we have to go in” Lili nods and stands to follow him.
• Jazen makes eye contact with them across the distance, G waves and he waves back before signalling for her to follow him inside

The Silver Hourglass Bathhouse & Spa

• K is floating on her back in the water as the water soothes her sores and periodically checking on everyone
• Draekos is relaxing at the far end of the pool while being admired by Derek
• J is chatting to X

Micarafae and Syyrik 

• M pulls Syyrik into a quiet corner and using Thieves’ Cant “if the nightmare creature does have my memories, then it's possible the hollow could be compromised.”
• Syyrik puts a hand to his chin and says, "Well, I mean, she hasn't left town  and she's going to be busy, right?” M says “But if word gets out? I mean, hopefully, maybe that's not been something that's been discussed among them yet and we take care of her tonight, and it's fine."
• Syyrik says Well, you know, I mean, if this guy is trying to destroy this town, unless that information helps here, which it kind of would, there is a guild here.” and goes into thought again, M says she just figured it would be good to bring it up
• Syyrik says he doesn’t know much about the guild here and M says she had talked to someone who was supposed to get her in to see them, but he seems to have been captured by Nekros
• Syyrik stops her and says “Sorry, what did you just say?” M repeats her last sentence and Syyrik says “The guy who could get you into the Thieves Guild was captured by the guy trying to destroy the town.” M says yes and adds that he’s also one of the people that runs The Iron Pit where they’ll be fighting tonight and where Nekros has been testing his creatures
• Syyrik asks if she knows where the entrance to the Thieves' Guild is and M says she doesn’t, but she has seen Thieves’ Cant Symbols for it around town and there is someone else she could ask
• Syyrik says “This isn’t good Micarafae, If if they've taken someone who knows where the guild is, what stops them from slaughtering them all and taking all of the powerful artifacts that sometimes, you know, that are kept specifically from those who want that kind of power. Oh, this isn't good. This isn't good.”
• Syyrik goes deep into thought then looks pleadingly in her eyes "We need to go. If he's as scary as you say and can control that many people at once, I don't even know what this guild has here hidden, being held to be sold.”
• M says, “If he already knows about it and he is this powerful, what are we going to do? I would like to get in there and warn them at least, but I don’t know. We should at least wait for the others”
• He lies back in the water so that only his nose is above the surface and M decides to show off something else she learned and uses message to say “Hey, I learned another new trick though” and he raises an eyebrow from under the water”

Regrouping and Debriefing  

• B V come up the stairs, followed shortly by Lili and Jazen and then G Alastros and Orrinar
• Alastros kills another 2 guards with one arrow before heading inside
• M gets up and walks towards the edge of the pool and asks B how it went, B is trying not to look at her and says “She’s very dead now”
• Jazen catches a glance of himself in a mirror and finally notices Lili’s lipstick marks over his face and says “What the hell? Why is this all over me?” B pushes him into the water then reaches into his bag and pulls out Lunae’s book
• M says, “You didn’t think to keep her alive so we could get answers from her?” He says they didn’t really have a lot of choice on that matter
• M looks to Jazen, Lili and V to confirm, knowing that B can be a bit kill happy
• V steps up and M can see he is covered in dried blood and looking rather rough
• V says “Micarafae, I cannot lie, that shit was crazy, Lunae, she transformed”
• Jazen pops up from the pool and says “Yeah, she became that death thing that you guys fought earlier I think”
• M asks how and B flips to the page in the book with the Tensen on it, M says “Ok, but how did she become that?” B sats “Apparently blood magic”
• Jazen says “Partly my fault but not really” M asks them to elaborate, Jazen says “She used the blood of all the pieces of Collin and drew a magic circle that couldn’t be cleaned away with prestidigitation, it was kind of like, glowing. Bruzrik threw a tree through her chest, and personally I thought she should have died, and that’s how she transformed.”
• M says, “So had she finished the ritual before and that’s how she transformed?” V and Jazen both get quiet. B says “In my attempt to stop the heinous act of blood magic that was happening before me, I may have catalysed it”
• M says “We knew this was a possibility, right? Like we talked about the fact that she was doing blood magic, and you didn’t stop to think about before you threw a tree at her?” B says there was gallons of blood on the floor already, Jazen says “not my fault”
• M says, “But she didn’t have enough and that’s why she hadn’t completed the ritual since yesterday, I’m presuming?” B says “It would seem so”
• M says “So you fed it more blood? You didn’t think so go and drag her out of the circle?” B says “Well considering I didn’t know what the circle did, going into a pulsating circle of ever moving blood seemed like a bad idea”
• M says, “But throwing a tree at the woman in the circle, killing her and feeding her blood to the ritual seemed like a good idea?” V says “We didn’t have a lot of options really” Jazen adds “Not true, but what can you do”
• Lili steps forward and says, “It almost killed us all, it was very scary” V goes quiet and Jazen says “Dying is kind of my thing, but I’m glad it didn’t happen”
• M takes everything in for a moment before saying “I feel like there had to have been a better option”
• M looks at B and says “Seriously, you need to get your shit together, we wouldn’t be in the situation if you didn’t go off on your own and kill Harren! We wouldn’t have had to just fight 50 fucking something guards in the town square! They wouldn’t have killed those innocent people!”
• Alastros pipes up and says “You killed 50 something guards?” M says not on her own and he says “Oh, I was going to say, I killed about 37 myself” G nudges him to shut up and M pays him not mind
• M says “We talked about this the other day, that we wouldn’t go off on our own without letting someone know where we were going, and yet you’ve done it two more times since we talked about it. The last fucking time I was waiting for you to get back so I could have you have George take a look at that fucking brooch. I wouldn’t have had to go through that shit if you had just come back and told us what you were doing! The whole fucking town wouldn’t be looking for you if you hadn’t gone and fucking recklessly killed Harren! Your reckless pursuit of vengeance or whatever you want to call it, is going to get someone killed, you’re lucky it hasn’t already”
• X steps between the two of them and puts a hand on B’s shoulder and says “And what do we say to the pretty girl?” then steps aside
• B takes a deep breath and says “I’m sorry that I have caused any problems, but I do seem to recall some people here would also be dead had I not gone off and done certain things”
• M says “Do you know how many towns folk were just murdered by the guards?” V and Jazen both seem to perk up in interest of hearing this information
• B pulls out the wanted notice he got from the guard and says “I’m assuming it has something to do with this”
• M says “Yes, because you went and killed Harren, which sent Elira to Nekros to seek his help” A steps up beside M and says “He’s known to the public now as Sirk Sorken. It’s kind of scary to see him in the light”
• B asks how many died and M says 46. Hearing the number aloud for the first time causes everyone to wince or snort in anger
• M says “If you hadn’t killed Harren, the never would have called that meeting. All those people never would have been there. If you hadn’t thrown a tree at Lunae when she was in the middle of a blood magic ritual... You’re just godsdamned lucky everyone survived” Then snatches the book out of his hands and goes into one of the private rooms, locking the door behind her.
• A goes to the door and tries to open the door but finds it locked and calls out to M who responds with “Yes?” He says “Do you want to be alone?”
• M unlocks the door and A heads in, locking the door again behind him
• X stays with her hand on B’s shoulder

Kree and Alastros 

• K goes to see if M is ok, but seeing the door close decides to leave her to it and looks to the rest of the group to see how they’re coping with that
• K reflects on how the amount of people killed today is the size of many of the small tribes she has worked with in the past and imagines those tribes being entirely wiped out
• Derek flies over and lands on her head to avoid getting in the water and asks if she really thinks they killed the thing that killed him, K says she hopes so because she doesn’t want to fight it again
• Alastros gets out of his armour and gets into the water, he goes to swim past her but stops and says “You have... There’s something...” and squints his eyes at her and says “You have a connection to the fey wild”
• K says, “That I do, is it that obvious” Alastros’s demeanour changes and he smiles at her and says “No, it’s not obvious. I was recently trapped there. How did you get here?”
• K says “Long story short, I’ve been out on a pilgrimage from my tribe of mainly druid  Aarakocra and on my journeys I happened into the Fey Wild”
• Alastros says in Sylvan “Had a brush with an Archfey?” she replies “I must have because I was I mean out in the middle of the woods. Where else would where else would one meet an arch fay without even knowing it?”
• He waves his hand above her head and says “I can sort of see what I would call temporal echoes and one of them seems to glimmer, but I can’t tell if it’s an archfey or something else” Then snaps back to his regular demeanour and says “If you ever want to talk about the fey wild I can tell you some of my stories” K says she’s love to hear them sometimes
• Alastros continues in the direction he was heading and sits too close to Draekos who tells him to move away but Alastros says he’s good where he is

Gwinri, Orrinar and Garrin 

• Orrinar looks to Gwinri after witnessing all of this and says, “What the hells Gwinri? Half of these people are naked” Gwinri doesn’t really say anything as the proximity to water is making her anxious
• Garrin walks up behind her, wrapped his arms around her and picking her up in a hug and says “Hey Gwinri!”
• Orrinar turns and takes a step back and says, “Are we under attack?” as Garrin kisses her in the cheek. G goes bright red and Orrinar says “You better explain this to me right now missy” as Lili wolf whistles from across the room
• Garrin clues in and puts her back down before taking a step back and saying, “Who’s this?”
• G says, “This is my brother, one of my brothers” Garrin gets a bit rigid and says “Oh, it’s very nice to meet you” and extends his hand to Orrinar
• Orrinar looks at Garrin, looks at Garrin, then the rest of the assembled group and says “Tell me the story Gwinri please, all of it”
• K hears this (perception 15) and shouts out “It’s a long one” Orrinar replies “You don’t bloody say”
• G brings Orrinar and Garrin to the tables by the bar and proceeds to tell him everything that has happened in the last few days

Bruzrik 

• X looks like she’s waiting for B to say something, B goes to leave the room, and she gives his shoulder a gentle squeeze and he gives her a look that says she can follow if she wants
• She smiles and says, “Do you really want to be alone right now?” He takes a deep breath and says, “I feel more like I have to be alone right now” She takes his hand telling him there’s only one play to be alone there and leads him to her room, opening the door and leading him in
• X says, “If you promise not to break anything you can be alone here” and grabs him by the chin directing his face so he’s looking at her and says “But I am here to talk, even if I’m just here to listen”
• B is fiddling with the talisman he keeps on a chain around his neck and says “No, I need to be alone” she nods and reminds him not to break anything, he promises nothing will be out of place
• She lets go of his chin and trails her hand down his chest, gives him a wink and leaves him in the room alone but B is too in his own head to notice it (perception 5)
• B slowly paxes the room for a few moments before finding a spot on the floor in a corner and sitting down with his legs crossed
• He takes his talisman in one hand and George Forgeman in the other and quietly says “I really need guidance from one of you right now” (Strength 21 & religion 7)
• George starts glowing faintly yellow and floating above his hand and the voice of Zaolu can be heard from it saying “I’m sorry your other god couldn’t make it. I only have two followers right now, so I’m more inclined to listen”
• B takes a deep breath and says “Well, Bahamut has many things to keep him preoccupied. I’m not unaccustomed to him not responding to my prayers” Zaolu says “Well, if I’m ever free, I will chat him up for you. So, how can I help you?”
• B says “Well I just found out that because of my actions 46 innocents were killed, probably more” George’s light dims and Zaolu says “That’s a tough pill to swallow”
• B says, “I can’t see myself forgiving myself for that any time soon” Zaolu says “No, I don’t think I would see that happening either. Well, what’s done is done all we can do it move forward for now, but I know that’s not what you’re looking for right now”
• B says “That’s just the thing; I can’t see the way forwards anymore. When I took my oath, I swore that what happened to my home... I would stop it whenever I found it, that sort of corruption, anywhere I found it, I would root it out and I would kill it.”
• Zaolu says “Is this the same situation?” B says “Not identical, but a little too similar for my comfort”
• Zaolu says “It seems like you’re dealing with a similar situation, but with gods involved, in my mind that’s a different situation” B says “Murder is still murder”
• The light dims again and Zaolu asks “Well, what do you plan to do about it?” B says “From what it sounds like, as long as I’m free the guards are going to keep killing other innocents” Zaolu asks if he knows that for sure and B says “I just saw a guard trying to kill a kid who looked like me” the light dims again
• Zaolu says “Well from what you had said in the past, I think we accelerate, we don’t wait it out. I think it’s time to pluck this evil by its roots” B says, “You mean go to Nekros himself?”
• Zaolu says “If he is the source, yes. Don’t play defence” B says “I think you’re right. I was too generous, and I gave him far too much time”
• Zaolu says “We won’t be able to speak like this again today, try get to me tonight, I think it’s time George got an upgrade” B says he’ll do what he can and Zaolu says he knows he will
• The yellow glow fades and George start to glow with his usual green glow as he is refilled to full health and says “Hello Sir”
• B gives him a wry smile and says “Welcome back George” George asks if he did good and B says he did fantastic and George whirs happily

Gwinri 

• G gibes Orrinar the detailed run down but glosses over the werewolf part
• Orrinar says, “So you’re god touched, are ya?” and pokes her then says, “I don’t feel any buzzing.” G rolls her eyes, and Garrin says “I don’t think it works like that”
• Orrinar says “Quiet you” to Garrin who replies “Hey, not cool man” and G says, “Can we not argue right now” and they both shut up
• G points Orrinar in the direction of Genevieve’s and Garrin gets the ok from X to take the rest of the day off and walks with Orrinar to show him the way
• G tells them to be nice to each other and as they leave Orrinar says “It may have just been because the spell was over me, but I’ll tell you a little bit more about the Mildmores when I get a chance, Gwinri”
• J decides to accompany them and head back too

Micarafae and Alaric 

• M sits by M as she studies the book, helping and pointing out things every so often but not saying much as to not disturb her
• M is looking for any commonalities across the nightmare creatures, any particular weaknesses, resistances, etc (investigation 15)
• Flipping through the pages she sees decently drawn pictures of each creature, each with a name and unique circle to summon them which she notes but it is focusing on anything that could help them in the coming fight
• With A’s help M is able to find some scribbled notes on the pages (investigation 13)
• A gently rubs her back as he reads over her shoulder

Lili and Jazen 

• Lili tells K that she should go see Penda at the General Store because she’s also a druid and would like to meet another
• Once things have settles, Lilli grabs Jazen by the collar and pulls him into one of the private rooms

Kree and Bruzrik 

• B exits X’s room and bumps into K
• K asks if he’s doing alright and if he wants tome company
• B replies “Company wouldn’t be unwelcome. I do have an errand I need to run if you'd like to accompany me” K says sure and asks where he’s going, B says he’s heading to Willersby Forge to check on an order he places
• Alastros walks up to the two of them and says “Would you like a third? I tend to get lost if I’m not with somebody”
• K mentions something about getting a leash for him and he says “I don’t need a leash, I just need someone to not... never mind. You two ok if I tag along?”
• B shrugs and says “You’re welcome to join us”
• Alastros hops from foot to foot and cracks his neck saying “Maybe we’ll meet a few guards on the way, I heard they’re not good”
• B puts a hand on his shoulder and says, "No unnecessary violence." Alastros looks disappointed and puts a dagger back in its sheath and they head out
• On the way the pair have to stop Alastros from taking out more guards twice

Willersby Forge  

• They arrive and a greeted by an apprentice who says she recognises B and that he had an order with them he says that is correct
• She tells him they tried to deliver earlier but no one was there so they brought it back
• She excuses herself for a moment and another girl comes out to cover for her and makes small talk
• B says he would also like to buy a greatsword which the girl sells to him for 50 gold, and he also purchases what he would need to forge a great sword from copper for 20 gold
• The first girl comes back with a set of copper plate armour and B pays the 20 gold he owes for it
• The two girls say, “It was a pleasure doing business with you at the Willersby Forge” B thanks them for their work and bows his head, they return in kind
• K asks about how she would go about upgrading her armour since she can’t use anything above leather as a druid
• Alastros says “Have you ever heard of Ironwood?” K says “I’ve heard of it, and I was thinking of that, but I haven’t been able to find any in a while”
• Alastros says “Well, there was this interesting place. I popped out of the Fey Wild and I was underwater. I don't know how I got there, but I emerged from a lake, and I met some druids in this terrible forest, but they had something akin to Ironwood. Now, I highly doubt they sell that here, but I could always take you there and if you ever needed to upgrade.”
• K asks if it’s far he says “Far enough. I had help getting here” and looks a little sheepish
• K says, “Nothing wrong with a little help” He says “Yeah but it’s more than once. I was teleported into Ravenswood twice” K tries to hide her smile hearing that
• Alastros says “But yeah, I think you’d like those druids, they’re scary as hell!” K says “Yeah I always love meeting other druids, it’s not often I come across any other circles”
• Alastros says “Although that probably doesn’t help you for tonight” K says, “Not tonight, but for the future” He agrees and she thanks him
• One of the girls says there is a leather worker in town that the business has had dealings with before and K thanks her for letting her know

Silver Hourglass cont. 

Micarafae Alaric and Syyrik 

• M finishes going through the book and heads out of the room with A and sees Draekos, X, Syyrik and G who is still at the bar but about to head off to find some new boots
• M says she wanted to go pick up a couple things and motions for Syyrik to join her but also leaving it as an invitation if anyone wants to join her
• Draekos says he’ll meet her back at Genevieve’s and X says she wants to finish up some stuff here and also meet back up later, giving M a kiss on the cheek
• M says, “I guess I’m going shopping with the boys?”

The Enchanted Trinket 

• M comes up to The Enchanted Trinket, sees a closed sign and knocks a couple times
• The curtains open a tad, and they see an eye before they quickly close again, and the door is opened and Moritha tells them to come in
• M says, “Do you have any incense that smell like petrichor?” Moritha says “Oh my heavens, not but I have lavender candles” M says “Perfect” and heads inside
• Syyrik says “I have to remember about that” and the door is closed behind them
• M says B told her Moritha said to come check in this afternoon
• Moritha says she’s hit a bit of a snag and asks if they were able to identify that ring and M pulls out her notebook, flipping to the page she wrote what George had told them and hands it to Moritha
• Moritha reads over it and says “Oh my, Gods above... My sweet dear, you were wearing this?” M says “Yeah, ten years”
• M asks how they got such a detailed description and M says she doesn’t know how much B told her about the god, Moritha says she knows about the gods and explains the gist of the situation with the lost pantheon of gods and the gifts they have been given, including George who identified the ring and how it contains the god who created the Solvexis Circle
• Moritha goes pale and says, “Any you’re dealing with them?” M says yes and that there’s 8 of them, promising to explain in more detail later
• Moritha says she must find a way to have B part with George so she can use it and M says she doesn’t think it will work for her because it was specifically a gift for him as a champion of a god
• Moritha puts on glasses as she continues to read and comments how there’s some fuzzy bits, like something is omitted and M says yeah it seems like something was preventing George from saying it
• M says “It looks like maybe something... With that description of... What is protecting the ring from being destroyed, perchance? Or a triggering system? Can I copy this?” M says she can and she goes over and starts copying it into her own book saying it will greatly help with what knowledge she already has
• Moritha says “Just off the top of my head, it looks like if you even try to break this crystal or succeed in breaking this crystal, it's going to summon some entity to defend the rest of the ring or retrieve the ring, and if I had to guess, it would bring it back to its master.”
• She finished copying it and hands the book back to M who then pulls out Lunae’s book and says she had a quick look over it, but she doesn’t know if she missed anything that Moritha may be more adept to pick up on
• Moritha takes the book and flips over the pages and says “Oh heavens me, oh this is dark magic” M says yeah, it’s not great and Moritha says she doesn’t even feel comfortable handling it
• M says, “The other version of me is one of those” Moritha looks a little disgusted and M adds “And I’m going to fight it tonight.
• Moritha says “Are you sure that’s smart, You’re sure it’s not a trap?” M says “Better than just letting it wander around”
• Moritha says “I mean, you’re right but is this man so vain that you think he would set you up with a fair fight?” M says “Oh, no it’s definitely not going to be fair, but that’s ok because we’ve got a sub plan too”
• Moritha says if there’s any way she can help to let her know and M said she was hoping to get more Healing Arrows and that B said she had a Crimson Wing Haversack
• Moritha says she does and hands it to her as well as the rest of the stock of her healing arrows (7)
• M asks if she’s sure about just giving them to her and Moritha says “Well I mean I hear people are being kidnapped and taken, I’ve been warned to keep my shop closed, but you’re planning to set things, right? I’m willing to help” M says “Yeah, it’s bad out there and that’s the hope”
• M says, “I don’t know if they told you, but Thalos was missing last we checked” Moritha looks distraught and M explains the situation G found when she went to check on him
• Moritha says they should report that to someone and that someone needs to go look for him. M says, “We’ll do that. Don’t talk to the guards, do not trust the guards, I just watched them kill 46 towns folk this morning” Moritha looks shocked and M comments on how it’s real bad out there but they’re going to try do something about it
• Moritha says they can pay her for everything once they’re through this and pulls them further into the shop, and M stops to eye the Ear Cuff of The Vampire Bat, Moritha asks if that will help and M says “I don't know how much it will help in the fight, but it's definitely something I could find use for.” and Moritha places it in her hand, telling her to take it and pay her after the fight
• Moritha also hands her Basilisk Dagger and tells her to return it or pay for it after the fight also
• M says she promises that if they survive the fight, she will tell her everything they know about the gods as thanks
• M notices Syyrik trying to steal something and uses message to tell him not to (Perception 22)
• Syyrik responds saying “But it’s a cat amulet, it’s cool”
• M says, “So is Moritha” Syyrik replies “But she’s just handing stuff to you for free, she won’t notice”
• M says, “I’m going to come back and pay for it after” Syyrik asks if she can also pay for the amulet, M rolls her eyes and says ok
• Syyrik says aloud “Oh, and we’ll need this, she’ll pay for” M says, “We don’t need it” and Syyrik whispers “We need it” M says “Maybe you need it”
• Moritha says “Of course, if it helps” M says it might help Syyrik and he pockets the amulet
• They part ways with Moritha and head to The Verdant Vial, M points out any thieves’ cant she noticed to Syyrik along the way while also swinging by Moon & Sun Appraisals, so Syyrik knows who her other potential Thieves' Guild contact is

Moon & Sun Appraisals 

• As they walk up on the shop, they find the door completely off its hinges and everything inside has been ransacked (perception 22)
• M says, “That really doesn’t bode well, does it?” and Syyrik says “This was the place, wasn’t it?” M says it is and Syyrik looks at M pleadingly again but doesn’t say anything, knowing there is more important stuff to deal with right now
• M says “Look, if you want to, go and see If you can find a way in and then meet me back at Genevieve’s, just don't get yourself killed, alright?”
• He pulls his hood over his head and says, “Don’t worry, nothing’s killed me yet” M says “Right, I’ll see you tonight” and gives him a hug and he heads in and starts sifting through the wreckage looking for what he can find in relation to the guild

The Verdant Vial 

• M and A walk up to The Verdant Vial finding it closed, she approaches and knocks but gets no response
• M glances around looking for any sign of a person or anything that looks awry and sees through the window that things have been smashed inside and decides to try the door, finding it unlocked
• She walks in cautiously, calling out to see if anyone is there but still gets no response
• A says “I was gone a day, right? I was only gone a day!” M nods
• M has a look around for any sign of a struggle, any place someone could be hiding, A joins in and helps her (16 investigation)
• The find signs of a struggle but no blood, looking like someone was dragged out the back door and things were smashed in the process
• M has a look around to see if the shop is attached to a home and finds a staircase leading up to the home but finds no signs of anyone being there
• She has a quick look around to see if she can find any intact potions and manages to find one Potion of Healing and grabs it, making a mental note to come back and pay for it later
• M goes out the back door and sees if there’s any trail to follow, seeing drag marks in the grass but losses the tracks as she comes to the street (9 investigation)
• A quick puts his finger to his lips and shushes her as two guards walk by and they turn around and head back to Genevieve’s, M periodically calling out to Ember to see if she gets any response or can feel any connection and gets the feeling that it might work if they were closer together (Charisma 11)

Gwinri 

• G leaves the baths to find some basic boots as she is currently wearing hand me down boots that are not coping well with how much she is running now
• She finds a store that seems like the place to buy boots but as she gets inside, she sees the shop ransacked and the owner absent, but she does find a pair of leather boots that are only slightly too small

Genevieve’s Inn 

• Everyone regroups after about an hour
• S is waiting for everyone, holding a sword and shield and says “I’m ready to fight! We’re fighting your evil clone, aren’t we?”
• M says, “Not you” and she replies “Yes me” M repeats and she says she’s fighting
• B reaches down and takes the sword from her, M says “Hey, she’s allowed that” B says “I’ll give it back when she promises to not try join us tonight”
• S looks to K with big sad eyes and says “But Kree...” M says “Enough people have died today. It’s not going to be an easy fight”
• S slumps slightly and Genevieve says, “Come here, dear” and pulls her into hug and patting her hair
• Draekos stands up and says, “I’m the clear choice to fight with you” M says, “You said you were going to lead the B team” and he says Lili was the one doing that, M says he can help her, he seems unimpressed
• M looks around to see if she can find any sign of Tarruk but to no avail
• M tries to reach out to Ember again but gets the same feeling if a little stronger (charisma 12)
• Draekos says “I really wanna fight that guy” M says, “I don’t think we’re fighting Nekros tonight” Draekos says “But he would be there wouldn’t he?”
• M says, “Yeah, and I reckon if we make it out of this, we find a way to tempt him and just try to deal with him then because I’m sick of his shit”
• Alastros claps his hands together and says “Me too! I’m the clear choice! Never been bested in a fight, I’m immune to most damage”
• M says, “I know who I want to accompany us, I’m going to go see if I can find them and if not, we’ll figure out something else” K asks her to run it by everyone and M says Tarruk
• Draekos says “You’re not guaranteed to find him in time, you’re the one who has to be there” M says “I know, I’m going to see if I can find him in time and if I can’t then we will do something else”
• Draekos goes back and sits in a corner
• M turns to Orrinar and asks if he talked to him much and if he might have any idea where to find him, Orrinar says “I talked to him, but no, I don't know him well. where'd he be? The right lad looks scared out of his mind when he ran away. Yeah, you're lucky your little birdie followed him.”
• M says “Well, I’m going to go look for him” Alastros asks if she wants someone to accompany her and she says that’s probably for the best. Alastros says “Excellent, I think I could stop an enraged bull”
• M looks to K and says, “Having some eyes in the sky might not be a bad idea” and K says “I can do that”
• M tries to reach out to Korbus to see if she can get any aid from him but isn’t able to connect (charisma 6)
• With her hand on The Ash Song M thinks “I don’t know if you can hear this, but could you please reach out to Tarruk”

Finding Tarruk  

• M says she’s going to give it half an hour and if she can’t find him in that time then she’ll come back
• M, K and Alastros go to head out and Alastros looks to G and tells her to come with, and she says she can give those new boots a test run
• Alastros says “Team Gwenzaline” and holds his hand out for a high 5 which G reluctantly gives
• M uses the Ear Cuff of the Vampire Bat, taking her 2 necrotic damage and giving her a +2 to perception
• K takes to the air and flies over as everyone searches (Perception M nat 20 +2 (26 total) K 24, Alastros 20, G 7)
• Alastros sees a guard and goes to shoot an arrow at them, but M stops him and he says, “I thought they were bad guys, are we not killing them now?”
• M says “We don’t need to be doing that right now, we can deal with that later. Unless they’re actively putting someone in danger, we can deal with it later” Alastros sighs and says “Alright, just know I would argue this, they could be bad people” and puts the arrow back in his quiver
• M says “Oh yeah, they work for the Blackthorns, I’m sure most of them are pretty awful”
• M glances to see where he was looking and she can see further down from where he saw the guard, a pair of horns over the top of a wooden fence about 100 feet away
• M let’s K know via message, and she flies over
• K can see Tarruk with Ember beside and slightly behind him, hopping, chirping and flapping their wings in a seemingly distressed manner trying to point him back towards town and Tarruk throwing his arm up in frustration
• M runs over, whistling to Ember to let them know she’s coming
• Ember hears it and flies up, trying to land on Tarruk, effectively stopping him from moving as they pester him
• M approaches but keeps a decent distance between them and says, “I’m so glad I found you” Tarruk looks very wary of her as he turns to look at her
• Alastros is right behind M and pokes her asking if he knows about the buzzy thing, she says she tried to communicate it to him then she attempts to swat his hand away, but he pulls away before she can
•  Alastros starts walking towards Tarruk with his hands behind his neck and says, “Hey buddy, we’re on your side” Tarruk takes a step back
• M stays where she is and says “Right, I know everything is kind of fucked up right now, what I’m going to do, is I’m going to take my sword out and place it on the ground then I’m going to step back and I just want you to look at it”
• She does just that as Ember hops back to her and she gives them a little scratch
• Alastros also steps back but at a 90-degree angle to M, K lands in a tree
• Tarruk steps forwards and picks up the sword, focusing on it for a moment and erupts in blue flame and his eyes glow green
• The flames of the blade seem to grow into the shape of a greatsword as he holds it and M can tell that he’s communing with Korbus so shits on the ground and pats Ember
• G stays to the side trying to be ready for anything
• Alastros moves to join her and says, “Your friend’s stopping me from killing Blackthorn guards” G says “Yeah, there’s a good reason for that” and he says “I know they could have families and could be good people, but like when they’re murdering people on the clock... I don’t know... Listen, I might not be one to get to a place on time or even at all, but I know evil when I see evil, and these people, if they want to be indifferent to the evil they're serving, is that any better?”
• G sighs and tries to focus on what’s currently going on, Alastros sighs and says “I'll stop pushing. I'm just saying I'll alert to you guys when I see one of these guards about to kill an innocent person. I won't just shoot first. Ok?”
• M hears this and using message, says “Look I don’t disagree, but now is not the time” Alastros says “alright, alright, sorry. Gods, can she hear everything?”
• Derek comments on her new ear cuff and says it would look good on him and asks if Draekos would like it, K says she’s not sure
• K can see that Tarruk has killed 2 or 3 guards from where she is perched
• Derek comments on how the guards to really seem to be looking for B, K says that he did piss off some pretty powerful people
• Derek asks if M could do that thing where she makes people look like other people to B and K says she’d probably need her fan for that
• Tarruk’s eyes return normal and so do the flames on The Ash Song, he puts the sword down and takes a step back and also sits on the ground, arms and legs crossed
• K says, “Everything ok big guy?” He says, “I don’t like being played for a fool” K says “None of us do”
• M says “A few of us have been in the same position now, he got me too”
• He moves to stretch, cracking his neck and knuckles very loudly and says “I’m told you’re going to be fighting this thing” M says “Yeah, we could use a hand”
• Tarruk says “I can definitely throw those” and pushes his fist into his palm
• M Gently shuffles forwards and extends a hand; he goes to take her hand warily, M can tell that there is still some pain and confusion regarding the whole situation, but he takes it, having confirmation she’s the real deal and they both feel the buzzing
• Tarruk says “That really is it, isn’t it” M nods and he adds “She told me that was you casting a spell on me” M says “Unfortunately she’s as clever as I am”
• Tarruk says “I believed it too, that’s what makes me the angriest” M says “Can’t say I blame you. I’m sorry they got to you first” He says “I thought it was you. I thought it was you”
• Still holding her hand and gets up and says, “Let’s go get her” M stands up and says “Welcome to the team”
