General Summary
Monday 11/05/2345
Micarafae’s Dream
- Woke up in familiar house, manacled to the ground in the center of a ritual circle surrounded by candles
- tried to grab fan from pocket felt static and it disappeared
- saw you know who both magical and physical attacks don’t work, seems like illusion magic, he says “you thought you had escaped”
- Magic veers off to the left towards what looks like a tear in reality and a small woman in red hat and coat appears and throws me a glistening pearl before disappearing, woke up immediately as I touched it
Kree’s Dream
- Wakes up in perfect twilight, see stars through tree canopy
- Hears familiar voice coming from many directions at once
- Sense magic of something trying to mess with her coming from behind
- Wonders if she’s back in the fae wilds
- Feels like someone is trying to read her thoughts
- Hears snapps of twigs from all directions
- Stands her ground in the opening where she can see clearly
- Hears muffled voice calling her name, sounds pleading
- 10 feet to her right looks like a cloud is forming, looks like someone is trying to burst through but can’t break through
- Picks up a stick to throw in an attempt to help break the cloud
- As she does the sticks turn into roots and bind her wrists to the ground
- Trees and plants move to form a cage around her
- Reaches for her scimitar and tries to attack the branches
- Takes chips and chunks out but debris doesn’t fall to the ground, instead spinning in place and getting sucked towards the cloud bubble
- Splinters pierce it and sees a small fae looking woman wearing a read hat and cloak
- She screams “Kree look out behind you”
- Behind her is a large beast with the body of a lion, head of a dragon, tail of a rattlesnake
- Body shimmers in shadow, hoofs become dragon claws, tail becomes a scorpion tail, head cycles through ram, eagle and Human with blazing red eyes
- Says to her “You will never amount to anything” and raises it’s tail to attack
- Red light shimmers over her and she wakes up
Bruzrik’s Dream
- Wakes up in a kitchen on top of a storage chest
- Belongings aren’t on him, neatly folded on the floor against the wall
- Small Lizardfolk girl tugging at apron
- Asks her what she wants, she tells him there’s an order up
- He gets up to make the order
- Hands him a piece of paper, has weird static glitch when trying to read it but knows what he needs to make
- Makes the order
- Larger lizard folk pops his head in to check how things are going
- He is working in the kitchen in exchange for a free night
- Hands the finished meal to the young girl, she holds it above her head and runs off to the table
- Larger Lizardfolk invites him to have a drink
- Girl is running off to the corner of the tavern where three people are seated, well lit but unable to see their faces
- One is roughly 5 foot humanoid, to their left 6’10ish burly Goliath or Dragonborn, small creature like Gnome, pixie or Fairy, draped in shadow and armed to the teeth
- Bartender asks what he would like to drink, he asks for wine not taking his eyes off the girl
- Says he has to go downstairs for that, runs around the corner
- Girl places order on the table, they say something to her he can’t make out
- He calls her over and she sits on the stool beside him
- Asks her what they said to him, hears static when the girl tries to repeat it
- Falls off the stool, he catches her and she runs after her dad
- He goes to approach the strangers but they are not there
- He scans the room, smaller one is miming playing at the piano. Taller one is standing at the entrance, seeming to be looking at him, the last seemingly appearing out of nowhere in sitting beside him at the bar, faces still shadowy
- He puts a drink in front of him with dark red liquid
- Grabs the stein but does not drink
- Hears something that sounds like someone calling his name from the liquid
- Doesn’t take his eyes off the stranger but starts ro drink
- He starts feeling light within him
- Strangers move with lightning speed appearing in the center of the tavern holding the father and the girl
- Medium one is between them, points to him and speaks but he can’t make it out
- He keeps drinking, getting up and walking towards him
- Looking out the window, the outside seems to be fading away, with a faint rumbling sound
- Larger man hold up the child, sinking a dagger into her heart
- Smaller does the same to the man
- Medium one moves too quickly in front of him
- Holding out something to attack him, collapsing around him seems to speed up
- Hears in his ear “you can’t save everyone”
- He wakes up
Gwinri’s Dream
- Wakes up in a familiar place that she has not been to ina long time
- Surrounded by imperfectly cut rock
- Holding oversized pickaxe, heavier than normal and ornate, enchanted wood handle, maybe even adamantine
- In what looks like an entrance to a mine, floor sloping down
- Walls looked like they are marked for mining with flags in blue, purple, orange and yellow
- Feels the impulse to make a choice
- Chooses to mine the purple, feels insane rumbling, like an earthquake, gets the feeling she shouldn’t mine there again
- As she steps back pickaxe feels heavier
- Examines the yellow, it seems good, starts mining, knows she’s hit something but instead of hearing the sound it should make, she hears static, looking closer sees a small crack of shining white light, makes another swing, hears static with each swing but crack gets bigger, here’s muffled voice say “wrong colour, you’re going the wrong way”
- Turns away to mine another spot, feels the pickaxe grow heavier, almost like it’s growing in size
- Mines the blue spot, seems normal until she starts hearing whispering from all directions, sounds like the voice of someone she knows but can’t make out words
- Hears “wrong one” coming from the glowing crack
- Turns to go mine the last spot, pickaxe is almost too heavy and is barely able to lift it
- Swings on the orange and hears the sound of intense pressure building behind the spot she struck, feels that maybe she’s not supposed to be doing this
- Hears the sound of water, maybe a geyser, water starts trickling down the cracks in the rock
- Heads for the nearest exit, back out the way she came in
- Exit is blocked by a stout shadowy figure with fierce red eyes who says “you think you can ever win their hearts back?”
- The light from the crack behind her shines and a small woman in a red coat and hat physically grabs her with insane strength pulls her through the crack and she wakes up
Astraday 13/05/2345
Bruzrik and Kree meet
- Kree is packing up camp after having slept the night there while on her way to Ravenswood
- Bruzrik is walking just off the road and sees Ks camp and decides to greet her
- B is hungover and asks K where she is heading, she says towards Ravenswood, he says “Ah what a coincidence, I’m heading towards nowhere in particular” and K invites him to join her
Before Gwinri and Micarafae meet
- Asked by her uncle to deliver a package to Ravenswood
- Told not to open it and should be hand delivered to the lord of Ravenswood
- All her expenses for the journey there are paid for, but not the return
- She is always welcome where he is and is not insinuating she can’t return
- Hops in a carriage attended by a dwarven driver and a halfling guard
- Multiple day journey, stops in a town to find a place to rest for the night
- Sees a cute bard playing her Lyre
Thursday 16/05/2345
Gwinri and Micarafae Meet
- Micarafae is performing there, has accrued a bit of small fanbase after being there a few nights
- Gwinri sits near the stage while she eats
- Old man in the corner is getting really into it, tosses M a couple silver
- Bartender signals to M that it’s her last song of the night
- Dwarven driver nudges G and says “She’s pretty good” halfling asks if they could offer M a ride
- M sits down at the bar, gets a small free dinner and drink
- Gives the old man a smile over her shoulder
- Fawns over anyone who stops to give her a compliment, once it’s quiet she relaxes with a sigh
- G heads over to the bar to get a drink and gives M a smile
- M makes conversation, asks what brings G here, she says Tharnic is driving her on an errand for her uncle
- G asks M is she frequents here, M says she’s been here for about a week but is thinking of moving on in a couple days, G asks if she needs a ride, M accepts
- Tharnic runs outside to tidy the carriage and runs back in to give a thumbs up that everything is in order
- G says she could use some company other than Tharnic and the Perryn
- Perryn is drunkenly dancing with the old man
- They get on the road together
Lumiday 18/05/2345
The Party Comes together
- Somehow all four make it to town at roughly the same time
- It’s late evening when everyone arrives and only one inn is accepting new guests, it’s somewhat large, over 3 levels, has a big common area and relatively small dining area and it very clean
- B and K are the first to show up
- Gnome doorman greets them
- B hands him one gold coin
- M and G arrive not long after
- Tharnick and Perrin are sorting the carriage and belongings before heading in
- M courtesies asks if they were looking for a bard, and runs off to look for Genevieve
- M takes a seat at the bar to wait
- The party creates a cryptid
- Hear static on skin to skin contact with party, when all four are together constant background hum
- It is quiet enough to hear the buzzing, B tries to focus in on it, getting what seems like a small thumping headache
- M tries to find if it has a pitch or beat by humming along to it, sensing a rhythm sounding like it’s coming from within her head
- First time we’ve heard it since our respective dreams once we entered the same room as each other
- M tries to strike up conversation saying, complimenting K on her plumage
- Notice that when we’re talking we can’t hear the noise
- M notices B looking around like he’s on guard
- K and B take basement rooms, G upstairs and M on the main floor
- M talks to Genevieve about performing in exchange for a free stay
- B Bargains for cheaper accommodation for him and K
- K disapproves
- Genevieve doesn’t know the proper term for “Bird person”
- Genevieve wonders if the party are adventurers, K says she’s on a pilgrimage, M says she’s on her world tour, G reinforced stereotypes about dwarves
- The gang stop for dinner while M asks prying questions
- B tells K to stay on her guard because something is up before heading to bed
- M tries to eavesdrop but can’t make out what they’re saying
- G head off to bed
- Notice that the buzzing has stopped
- K tells M about her dream
- M shares her “backstory”
- K heads to bed and M places a hand on her shoulder to give her a bardic and feels the buzz stronger this time
- M also heads off to bed
Shared Dream
- All appear in the same, maybe each others dreams, we hear no buzzing
- In a round room with large stone doors
- Surrounded by marble statues
- large catfolk with spear in front of door white marble
- Human plain looking male with katar black marble
Elf female with whip black and white marble - Orc female with crossbow and brass knuckles black and white marble
- Minotaur male black marble very large sword and giant kite shield
- Alien looking, white marble holding sword and tower shield
- White marble humanoid rat/ratfolk male
- Tiefling female black marble blocking door twin hook blades
- Giant sea otter white marble holding hands face up with storm cloud in one hand and snow flake in the other
- Dragonborn with huge Fairy wings with deadly looking claws black and white marble
- Tiny statue of small stone Fairy in the center strange pose like mid run holding hand palm up with small circular indentation
- B moves to try open the doors, fails miserably, statues weapons move to cross the door
- G and M both fail history check on statues, probably pantheon of gods
- B tries to use acid breath on doors, doesn’t do a whole lot
- K looks around to see if she can find something that might fit in the fairy’s hand, doesn’t find it but notices glowing in M’s pocket
- G touches the statue and it starts dripping water
- M uses prestidigitation to try and make the create the spherical object in the hand, does not touch that statue, does not create the object she pictures
- M gives B a bardic as he tries to open the door again, he fails again
- B tries again, feels it move a little and with encouragement manages to push it open
- Door opened to ominious magic darkness and not illuminated by dancing lights
- We all get a bad feeling from the void
- K tells M about the glowing in her pocket
- B tries to close the door
- Find glowing pearl in her pocket, feel like it might pierce magical darkness might fit in fairy statue
- Placing it in the statue, M accidentally touches the statue and hears a familiar voice say “I’m coming to Ravenswood, be ready”, everyone hears this
- Stone shatters and a fairy in a red dress and hat emerges says “finally, what took you so long, let’s get out of here”
- Everyone wakes up
