Mountainbound

The Beginning

At the start of the Age of Gathering one group of the Lasankri set out to the vast mountain ranges in the north, The Giant's Spine. Conflict and misunderstanding with tribes from the other races drove them in the valleys and caves of these mountains. There they made their home and are probably one of the few races, who can survive and live there with such ease. The Lasankri do not need much food to function and do not care for comforts, because of their condition. So they chose to explore everything underneath and above, are constantly on the move and often times think too much.

The Gods

After 200 years Lasankri made outposts all around The Giant's Spine. Most of them started to live outside in warm weather and moved underground in the winter months, when moving by foot through the snow is extremely difficult. In these times their work on an intricate system of caves and tunnels continue. In one of the early winters exploring, they discovered something. It was a cave with giant formations of crystals and for a lot of them it was instantly clear that they found the home of a god. Not a lot is remembered from those early times, but as they started digging their first tunnels they found more. It marks the beginning of The Path of Crystaline Perfection and all its children. The different beliefs was the first thing that really split the now Mountainbound into different groups. Their condition never made them very materialistic, so building a sustainable home for their people was the primary goal, but now the Lasankri had something different to aspire to. Infighting broke out between the groups who were dispersed through all settlements at the start. This let their numbers dwindle, but Lasankri do not have the reproduction rate of humans so a solution had to be found. The ceasefire that followed, led to each party claiming an area as their base of worship.
