The Innovators Misfortune One Shot

Cadmus creates a new technology he calls "Enigmatek". He accomplished this through "The Enigma". After showing his new ideas and creations to a publicist, the publicist secretly gives everything to Hugo. Hugo in his attempt to recreate these devices for his new show, makes a fatal mistake. The clockwork constructs he makes become sentient. They begin to wreak havoc at his big reveal. Cadmus being in the crowd and seeing Hugo steal his designs snags a piece of Hugo's broken creations and brings it back to his workshop. There when he looks into it, it infects all of his creations, causing multiple to escape into the city and begin to attack civilians.
