Session XIV

General Summary

After arriving back in Elbrand, the defenders were ushered into a meeting with Commander Verik an Reichter, Sir Veinstegger, Gautier of Elbrand, and Şemdîn Avzêl of Clan Spîndar who discussed the realities of the supposed undead attacks. They revealed that Olam had begun an investigation into these supposed attacks fronted by the powerful mage, Vincent de Clerq who needed further information. After some digging, the Defenders determined that Semdin was clearly hiding comething.
After a quick interview, the team broke into the gnome lord's residence and dicovered the implicating Şemdîn Avzêl's Note. This note further pointed the team in the direction of Kinbuldahr, as there were some strange transactions occuring there in the slave trade. What drove the team's decision even further was Greasy Marianne appearing and directing the team forward to kill the necromancer Chimmis, whom the team had been tracking for some time now. She also revealed Chimmis is in league with an assassin known only as Caligari. She noted he another lieutenant, Ilniax, in league with these two. She also revealed a higher commander whom she named as Craes'todh. 
After agreeing to depart for Kinbuldahr, the team decided to risk a potential hidden pathway available in the Hanging Gardens. 
Later that night, the team attended a meeting of thieves led by Gautier of Elbrand who were determined to blow up both the Olamian Encampment and part of the town of Elbrand. In doing so, they hoped to retake the town and instal a thieving command over the people. Acting in the interest of the people. the Defenders slaughtered the insurgents and the next day departed for the Hanging Gardens.
