Isaac Hendrix was born in a small town in the Midwest. His parents, Dr. Naomi Hendrix, a quantum physicist, and John Hendrix, a high school teacher, provided a loving and intellectually stimulating environment for Isaac. From an early age, Isaac showed an aptitude for science, no doubt influenced by his mother's work.
When Isaac was ten, the family moved to Blackmoore after his mother accepted a teaching position at Blackmoore University. The change was a culture shock for the young Isaac, who found the bustling city and its diverse inhabitants very different from the quiet, uniform life he was used to.
Isaac quickly adapted, however, and began to thrive in Blackmoore. He was an exceptional student and excelled in his studies, particularly in the sciences, following in his mother's footsteps. Outside of school, Isaac was a bit of a daredevil, often exploring the city on his skateboard and getting into minor scrapes.
Despite his academic success, Isaac felt a sense of restlessness. He wanted to do more, to make a difference. This desire would eventually lead him to the fateful field trip to AstraNova Technologies, where he would gain his powers and become Egress, the protector of Blackmoore.

Warping: Isaac can create portals that bridge two points in space, allowing him to travel instantly from one place to another. These portals appear as tears in space, which he can step through to reach his destination. His warping ability is most effective over short distances, roughly within a mile, but can be extended further if he's left an energy marker at a location. Blind warping is possible but risky, as he could end up warping into a hazard.
Energy Projection: Isaac can project the interdimensional energy within him as concussive blasts or protective shields. The energy blasts can vary in intensity, from a stun-like effect to a powerful explosion, depending on how much energy he expends. His energy shields can protect him and others from harm, and he can also use this ability to create constructs for a variety of purposes, such as creating a platform for objects or people.
Enhanced Strength: Isaac's strength is significantly enhanced, allowing him to lift up to 800 pounds. However, his strength is directly linked to his energy levels. The more energy he uses for his other abilities, the weaker he becomes until he's had a chance to recover.
Short Range Flight: Isaac can use his energy to propel himself through the air, effectively granting him the ability to fly. His flight is limited to short ranges, about a few miles before he needs to land and recharge. He can reach speeds of up to 60 mph, but faster speeds drain his energy more quickly.
