The Trading Company
The Trading Company is Bay Area pod sworn to House Daireann. It's not hard to see why they're called that, as approach their little shop in Chinatown proudly called Lin's Trading Company - inside is a little fish-and-spices market, staffed by a large pod of selkie kith and kinain. The most important ones members of the motley are the second-generation immigrants of Lin Shu Fang and Lin Ho.
The Lin family runs a fishing business and, of course, the small market. Ho was the one to find the selkie coat floating in the Bay that became his Chrysalis - and with it came knowledge of the Brennan family's mission as the creator of selkie coats. He has steadily been creating new selkie coats and passing them out to other members of his family.
His wife, Shu Fang, runs the market as well as managing their relationships with the other changelings of San Francisco and beyond. She was the one to make the decision to join Daireann, and has reserved one out of every three coats that Ho makes to give to other pods as a sign of good will (though, to be perfectly honest, he has only ever made seven in his long lifetime).
Besides them are their children: the boys who staff the fishing boat (Jiang and Deshi) and Hua, the daughter who helps run the store.
Jiang and Hua are both married, with Jiang being married to a Chinese woman named Amy and having two middle-school aged daughters (Jenny and May). Hua is married to a Mexican man named Diego Ramirez, with a high-school aged daughter (Maria) and a pair of twin boys just slightly younger than Jenny and May (Gao and Sam).
While this may seem like a lot of superfluous information, the reality is that this is a family pod, and it has many kinain and Enchanted that work in tandem with their kithain family members (Ho, Shu Fang, Jiang, Deshi, Hua, and Maria). It is truly a pod in the most traditional, messy sense.
