Folfmer

When it comes to the anthromere kind, they have it the worst I'd say. Even though they are so present across all the continents, it still does not help to mitigate the damage stereotypes and their unfortunate visage have done to them. Prof. Kerensky about the Folfmer

Negative perception of the Folfmer

Continental stereotypes

Racist behaviour towards the Folfmer is present across all the continents, mostly motivated by their animal-like bodies. Because of this, they are often viewed and considered as something below human and closer to just a more sapient animal. This way of thinking about them was only made more grounded after the bloody coup d'etat that occurred in the Folfmerian Kingdom, when the king was violently deposed and murdered alongside opposing Great Houses and a large chunk of civilian population and a regime was installed, ruling with an iron fist. Foreign nations saw that as a sign of Folfmerian inability to govern themselves in a civilised manner, perpetuating the stereotype of their animalistic and vile nature.

Daoin-Folf enemity

Within the Tsardom, the Folfmer are viewed especially badly, due to the historical wrongs they had done to the Daoin people, most prominent of which was the war under King Irodien that lead to the collapse of the Daoinian Empire.

Naming Traditions

Feminine names

The general rule for all names is to fuse a typical word of non-offensive meaning with a suffix that gives it either a male, female or unisex meaning.   Female suffixes are for example: -yal; -iel; -riel; -yel.
A name example could be Nighriel, a fusion of the word "night" and the suffix "-riel".

Masculine names

Male suffixes are for example: -dien; -ried; -ien.
A name example could be Irodien, a fusion of the word "iron" and the suffix "-dien".

Family names

Family names can be divided into two groups, each with their name format:
  • High-born - 1. Given name, 2. of the Great House of [...].
  • Common/er - 1. Given name, 2. "of the [...].

The Folfmerian State

It is what emerged and survived out of the Kingdom (some debate whether if it at some time wasn't even an empire) of the Folfmerian Kin, otherwise known as the Jarldom of Aurora. It alone has the biggest concentration of Folfmer than any other place on Aon, making it being called as the Folfmer homelands. Its past glories are long over and what has remained is a grotesque and tyranic oligarchy of the Great Houses that now behave as if the nation and people are theirs alone.
I don't know why they hate us so badly. Just because we are different doesn't mean we are worse than them. But I suppose they don't wish to think of such "complex" ideas as variety in life. Irritated Erieyal to a Folfmer friend
