The Taoul'Vers Experiments

With the events surrounding the Shadow Fae, and the relative success in the creation of the Fey'ri, certain factions within the High Elves decide to proceed with additional research into the possibility of the creation of hybrid warriors to assist in furthering the war effort.   In order to protect the elven nobility backing these efforts, the experiments are "contracted" out to the wizards of Taoul'Vers. The wizards are sent elven criminals and traitors. The wizards of the floating cities began their work with zeal, producing a number of potential successes in short order.   These experiments, though, are uncovered by a group of common elves, who spread the news to the others. It is considered an abomination and the High Elf noble families publicly decry the "horrific works" that the humans are doing. The contract is, officially, terminated, and none of the results are ever entered into the service of the elven forces. This leaves the results of these experiments left in the hands of the wizards to do with their new knowledge as they please.   The wizards begin to extend their experiments to other races, including dwarves.
