The Polis Deme

The Polis Deme:

  The Palace of Athens:  Home to Pericles and where the major figures of the Athenian Republic come to speak with Pericles. His garden houses some of the rarest flowers of the realm, and he loves growing his wine grapes. The Palace has grand library which houses the art pieces he has collected, and a grand ball room. Though some royalty occasionally visits for celebrations and festivals, the foreign emissary's meet in the Propylon.   The Propylon: entrance to the area that houses the capital buildings is a beautiful marble gateway reinforced by magic and protected by Athenian Guards. The gateway has a massive meeting area for foreign dignitaries and the wisdom guard of Athens to meet with the emissary of Pericles.   The Bouleuterion:  The high court ran by the Philosophers of Pericles, are responsible for passing judgment on criminals and enemies of the Athenian Republic.   The Capitol Building:  Ran by Thoth this is where commerces, trade, and infrastructure is decided and delegated, this looks more like a moder capital building but has steel fence surrounding it. The massive stairwell leading up to the doors is designed to make it harder for people to want loiter or visit.   The Phalanx:  Located near the Propylon, the Phalanx is the office of Theseus, the senator of the Military in the Athenian Republic. This building runs security and covert operations, as well as manages the generals located throughout the republic.
Notable People:
  • Emperor Pericles: The Ruler of the Athenian Republic resides in the palace.
  • Senator Theseus: The commander of the security, training of soldiers, and management of the generals across the Republic.
  • Senator Alethea: The High Court and the Philosophers are ran by Alethea.
  • Senator Thoth: In charge of infrastructure, commerce, trade, and sanitation of Athens and the Athenian Republic.
  • Senator Kleio: Chosen to represent the interest of the Republic in Athens and develops a curriculum for the School of Athens. Works along side of Sophia at the Library of Wisdom.
  • The Hoplites: Themistocles is the leader of this unit in Athens and he runs the police force of Athens answers to Theseus, considered to be the mortal kingdom counter part of the Wisdom Guard.
  • The Philosophers: The Covert spies and soldiers of the Athenian republic. They answer to Althea and typically work with espionage and counter terrorism.
